September 14, 2020

Attempted Vehicle Theft – 8:15 a.m. – 9500 block of Deborah St. – Two unknown suspect(s) attempted to steal the victim’s vehicle, tampering with the ignition and locks. The victim observed the suspects as the crime was occurring and shouted at them, causing them to flee the area. The victim discovered the damage to her vehicle but opted not to contact the police until the morning hours.
Occupied Vehicle Check – 1:42 p.m. – 9100 block of Evergreen – From an occupied vehicle check, a male subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

September 15, 2020

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 5:06 a.m. – Cerritos/Denni – Officers responded to the area regarding an unoccupied vehicle blocking the roadway. The vehicle was reported stolen out of LAPD Newton, sometime after midnight.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 9:04 a.m. – 5900 block of Mildred – An unoccupied 2003 white Ford 150 was located at the above address.

September 16, 2020

Burglary – 3:09 a.m. – 10000 block of Progress Way – A witness observed a suspect with a white pick-up truck, inside the gated area to the rear of the business. Officers found numerous torched locks and storage containers that appeared to have been entered.
Grand Theft – 3:56 p.m. – 10200 block of Ethel St. – While the victim was in the backyard, the homeowner observed two suspects steal the victim’s weed wacker from the back of the victim’s pick up truck and his cell phone from the center console.

September 17, 2020

Grand Theft from a Vehicle – 6:38 a.m. – 5700 block of Warland – Between 9/15 and today, an unknown suspect stole the rims and tires off a company vehicle, valued at $1600.
Graffiti – 12:15 p.m. – Orange/Juanita – An unknown suspect used a marker to write on a City-owned traffic sign. Report taken.

September 18, 2020

Commercial Burglary – 9:57 a.m. – 9900 block of Walker St. – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect entered the business through a rear door pry and stole an unknown amount of cash from the register.
Arrest – 4:34 p.m. – 5500 block of Newman – Police arrested a male subject for brandishing a weapon (knife) after he used a fixed blade knife to strike restraining order paperwork out of the victim’s hand. The subject was absentee booked at Orange County Jail.

September 19, 2020

Traffic Stop – 7:39 p.m. – Lincoln/Denni – From a traffic stop, a female subject was arrested for identity theft after she was found to be in possession of numerous credit cards and personal identifying information not belonging to her. She was booked at Cypress Jail and later transported to OCJ.

September 20, 2020

Suspicious Occupied Vehicle – 12:59 a.m. – 10900 block of Yamaha Wy. – From a suspicious occupied vehicle check, a male subject was arrested for a felon in possession of a loaded firearm. The subject was found to be in possession of a Phoenix Arms HP22 Compact pistol. Two other subjects were also arrested for outstanding warrants. They were cited and released from Cypress Jail. The first subject was booked at Cypress Jail and later transported to OCJ.
Arrest – 9:29 a.m. – 6000 block of Lincoln Ave. – During a call for service, Police arrested a male subject for possession of stolen property. He was transported to OCJ for booking.
