COMING SOON! Brookhurst Street Bridge Traffic Shift

Crews will shift traffic to one side of the Brookhurst bridge over I-405. The traffic shift will support future partial demolition of the bridge.

The construction of the Brookhurst bridge will commence after the Bushard Street bridge opens later this Fall 2020.

The 405 Community Outreach Team will provide detailed closure, detour and schedule information in future alerts.

UPDATE! McFadden Avenue Bridge

Opening of the McFadden bridge is delayed by about two weeks. According to our contractor, the delay is primarily due to a shortage of cement/concrete.

This is a result of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as rolling blackouts caused by recent heat waves. In addition, one of the contractor’s concrete suppliers has ceased operations, further impacting concrete deliveries. As a result, the McFadden bridge is now expected to be open to traffic by mid-October.

The 405 Community Outreach Team will continue to provide detailed schedule information in future alerts.
