Jimmy Fuller, a lifetime resident of the City of Cypress, filed nomination papers on July 14 to be a candidate in the November Election for Cypress City Council. During the filing, Jimmy said “I look forward to serving my community on the council. As a community leader and small business owner I bring valuable insight and knowledge to the council.”
Jimmy’s campaign will focus around five pillars of our community: Community Support, Education, Local Economy, Public Safety and Recreation. As Cypress moves into the next decade, Jimmy will use his experience in each of these areas to collaborate with fellow council members guiding the city through what lies ahead. He is a strong advocate for supporting our local economy in these tough times, and will work to retain existing businesses and recruit new establishments, both small and large.
As a community leader Jimmy has worked tirelessly to show support and appreciation for our city’s first responders, essential workers and veterans in the past. Most recently he was the creator and organizer of the city’s “CYPRESS STRONG” banners. “It was my privilege to be able to create the banners and honor those who are serving during the coronavirus pandemic. I know this is a small gesture, but I wanted to convey to our first responders, medical personnel and essential workers how valued and appreciated they are in our community.”
Jimmy’s campaign will be funded through private individual donations and will not accept contributions from large corporations, developers, or outside influencers.
