October 19, 2020

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 3:07 a.m. – 4500 block of Avenida Granada – Police located and recovered a 2019 Nissan Altima that was reported stolen in the city of Westminster.
Area Check – 6:31 p.m. – Cypress Arnold Park – Officers were dispatched to an area check for someone using drugs. No drug users were located.

October 20, 2020

Malicious Mischief to a Vehicle – 8:44 a.m. – 5000 block of Lincoln Ave. – Sometime overnight an unknown suspect punctured a single tire on two different vehicles. This is the second such crime of this nature.

October 21, 2020

Traffic Stop – 2:16 p.m. – Lincoln/Valley View – From a traffic stop, a female subject was arrested for a warrant.
Malicious Mischief/Attempt Theft – 4:40 p.m. – 5600 block of Corporate – An unknown suspect mistakenly cut out the diesel collector thinking it was a catalytic converter.

October 22, 2020

Arrest – 12:42 a.m. – 5000 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

October 23, 2020

Warrant Service – 9:07 a.m. – 6200 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a warrant service, a female subject was arrested for an outstanding San Bernardino theft warrant.
Traffic Collision – 8:42 p.m. – 11300 block of Holder St. – During a traffic collision investigation, one of the driver’s was found to be DUI. A female subject was arrested for DUI drugs & alcohol.

October 24, 2020

Vehicle Fire – 2:07 a.m. – 5700 block of Warland Dr. – Officers responded to a plume of smoke and located a vehicle fully engulfed in flames to the rear of the business. OCFA responded and extinguished the fire. OCFA Arson Investigators responded and were unable to determine if the fire was arson; the investigation was on-going.
Trump Caravan – 10:15 a.m. – Walker and Vessels – Approximately 300 vehicles campaigning President Trump caravanned through a portion of the city. Officers provided assistance with traffic control and there were no issues.
DEA Drug Take-Back – 10:00 a.m. – Cypress Police Department – Detectives and Officers assisted DEA with the Drug Take-Back event. Over 300 pounds of prescription medication was collected. No issues reported.
Vehicle Burglary Report – 12:06 p.m. – 6000 block of Orange Ave. – Between 10/23/20 at 11 p.m. and the day of call at 1100 hours, unknown suspect(s) burglarized the victim’s vehicle via a window smash and stole a laptop, watch, and bag (total loss of $2500.00).

October 25, 2020

Disturbance (Fight) – 12:03 a.m. – Camp/Moody – From a call for service of a group of subjects fighting, a male subject was arrested for possession of Nitrous Oxide.
Felony Hit and Run – 2:23 a.m. – Valley View/Lincoln – The victim was standing in the street and arguing with another driver over a road rage incident. During the argument, an unrelated dark color SUV drove by and struck the victim’s open door, causing injury to the victim’s foot. The SUV fled northbound on Valley View St. and was not located.
