Los Alamitos Chamber Virtual Networking meeting on Thursday, November 19 with Dr. Andrew Pulver

The Los Alamitos Chamber Virtual Networking meeting will take place Thursday, November 19 from 8-9 a.m. The Speaker is Dr. Andrew Pulver, and he will be discussing Educating Students During COVID-19.

Dr. Andrew Pulver has been serving in Los Alamitos Unified since 1999 and was selected as the Superintendent beginning April 19, 2019. Prior to working for Los Alamitos Unified, he began his career teaching middle school math and science. He was selected to be a mentor teacher and coach and conducted carious professional development opportunities for middle school teachers.

He began his career in Los Alamitos Unified as a teacher at McAuliffe Middle School, and was promoted to and served as Assistant Principal at McAuliffe Middle School, Principal at Lee Elementary, and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.

Dr. Pulver has been recognized as the District’s Principal of the Year and as the Personnel/Human Resources Administrator of the Year for the State of California. He has also received the PTSA Honorary Service Award in 2008 and again in 2015.

Dr. Pulver earned his Bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymont University, a Master’s in Educational Administration, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California. He has served as an Adjunct professor for USC’s Rossier School of Education doctoral program and directed and taught the Association of California School Administrators Personnel Academy. He considers it a privilege to work in Los Alamitos Unified, where passionate people join together to Ignite Unlimited Possibilities in Academics, Athletics, Activities, and the Arts.
