October 16, 2020

Illegally Parked Vehicles – 7:15 a.m. – 7821 Walker St. (La Palma Civic Center) – Two vehicles were parked in the parking lot with No Parking signs posted. Both vehicles were determined to be City vehicles. Public Works was requested to move the vehicles.

October 17, 2020

Disturbance (Music) – 11:43 p.m. – 5000 block of Sausalito Cir. – Loud music was reportedly coming from a residence in the cul-de-sac. Party advised and will comply.

October 18, 2020

Pedestrian Check – 7:46 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Following a pedestrian check, police arrested a 33-year-old subject for tampering with recyclables. The subject was cited.
Bike Stop – 10:19 p.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – During a bike stop, LA County Probation advised that the subject had an active warrant. Police arrested a 35-year-old subject for bicycle lighting, possession of controlled substances, and an outstanding warrant. The subject was transported to Orange County Jail.

October 19, 2020

Disturbance (Subject) – 3:03 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject was reportedly yelling at employees. The subject also did not pay full price for water he opened in the store.
Vandalism Report – 5:19 p.m. – 5500 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller reported damage on the rear driver’s side door by an unknown subject with their fists. Report taken.

October 20, 2020

Identity Theft Report – 8:37 a.m. – 5600 block of Driftwood Ave. – An unknown subject reportedly used the reporting party’s name in 2019 to open a DirecTV account. The reporting party advised DirecTV that he never had their service. DirecTV then sent the account to collections for $670.23. Report taken.
Counseling – 4:37 p.m. – 7500 block of Mark Cir. – The reporting party gave a partial Social Security number to possible scammers claiming to be with the IRS. Counseled. No loss at this time.

October 21, 2020

Disturbance (Subject) – 10:08 a.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – A security guard reported a male subject who had been drinking in the parking lot. The subject’s wife was a patient inside the hospital and the subject was creating a disturbance. Party advised and will comply. A friend stood by to drive the subject away from the hospital.
Disturbance (Subject) – 10:12 p.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – A discharged patient was reportedly refusing to leave. The subject advised that he was going to get violent if the police were not called. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office was requested to contact the subject’s daughter for pickup, as the subject was immobile, had no wheelchair, and was dropped off by ambulance. The subject was now cooperative with staff and a responsible party was en route to pick him up. Staff advised that he could stay outside.
