Cottie Petrie-Norris has won re-election to the State Assembly with a majority of votes cast in California’s 74 district. This will be Petrie-Norris’ second term representing coastal Orange County.
Assemblywoman Petrie-Norris released the following statement regarding her re-election:
“It is an honor to serve Orange County in the State Assembly, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to continue working on the critical public health and economic issues facing our state. I want to thank the residents of Orange County for making their voices heard in this historic election, and I also want to thank our frontline workers and election volunteers who gave so much of their time and efforts to make our democratic process successful. I’m looking forward to the work ahead.”

ABOUT COTTIE PETRIE-NORRIS
Cottie Petrie-Norris serves as Chair of the Assembly’s Accountability and Administrative Review Committee and as Chair of the Select Committee on Student Debt. She also serves on the Assembly’s committees for Appropriations, Revenue & Taxation and Veterans Affairs.
After working her way through Yale University, where she double majored in Economics and English, Cottie had a successful 20-year career in finance and technology. She helped to build businesses and led teams at Fortune 500 corporations, small companies and start-ups.
Cottie lives in Laguna Beach with her husband, Colin, their two sons, Dylan and Hayden, and their rescue dog, Flounder.
