Companies or individuals sought to “Adopt” a Military Family for Christmas

Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce is happy to support Marilyn’s Miracle Military Adopt-a-Family. Marilyn’s Miracle started over 15 years ago as a benevolence program for military families on the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base by a civilian in the community. It is made possibly by the community who “adopts” a family and returns the wrapped gifts, and the families can pick up their “ready-made Christmas” gifts.

The family remains anonymous as far as personal information, including Unit of assignment and status, unless with their approval to the adopting family. The sponsors receives names, ages, sizes, and the needs/wishes, and of, course, Santa’s list from the children.

Drop off of gifts will be no later than December 11, 2020 at the Sunburst Youth Challenge Academy logistical warehouse (location subject to change) on the Joint Forces Training Base, 3965 Constitution Way.

The Chamber of Commerce is helping to promote this annual event to help Military Families at JFTB who cannot otherwise afford a Christmas Celebration for their family. Some Troops are overseas and cannot be with their loved ones during the Holidays.

Please contact the Chamber at 562-598-6659 or email [email protected] if you are interested in “Adopting” a family.
