November 5, 2020

Traffic Collision – 4:04 p.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – A black Mercedes reportedly crashed into the building. The driver refused medical attention. Report taken.
Counseling – 7:37 p.m. – 4900 block of Malaga Dr. – The reporting party believed that his network had been hacked and that his father was being blackmailed, and that the unknown subject blackmailing him is trying to “get rid of him.” Information was provided by police to the reporting party’s parents.

November 6, 2020

Pedestrian Check – 1:48 p.m. – Valley View/Centerpointe – Police conducted a search during a pedestrian check and subsequently arrested a 31-year-old male subject for possession of controlled substances and resisting/delaying/obstructing an officer.
Stray Animal – 9:46 p.m. – La Palma/Louise – The caller advised that a stray dog possibly caused a traffic collision in the area. The vehicles exchanged information and had since left. The caller possibly had the stray in a vehicle. The animal was described as a Yorkie mix with a cloudy right eye and a tongue that hangs out the left side. The dog was released to SEAACA.

November 7, 2020

Felony Hit and Run – 10:40 p.m. – Valley View/Orangethorpe – The traffic collision involved three vehicles and a rollover. A subject bailed and fled on foot. Tow trucks were requested. One vehicle was impounded.

November 8, 2020

Burglary Report – 6:07 a.m. – Centerpointe – A motion sensor and then a panic alarm were triggered at the location. Police located a window smash to the front. Units made entry and checked the area. The loss was determined to be an ATM.
Disturbance (Subject) – 12:49 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject was reportedly demanding a refund and refusing to leave the business. The reporting party was counseled.

November 9, 2020

Indecent Exposure – 9:43 a.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – A male subject reportedly exposed himself. After a positive identification, the subject was arrested for indecent exposure.
Disturbance (Family) – 10:16 a.m. – Centerpointe – The caller reported a disturbance between a male and a female, and the female could be heard screaming. Buena Park Police were requested to assist. Police made contact and detained one subject in cuffs. A 33-year-old male was arrested for spousal abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a dagger. The victim declined medical attention and was provided resources.
Found Person – 5:28 p.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – The reporting party found a disoriented elderly female on Valley View and brought her to the police station in his vehicle. The reporting party believed that the female might need medical attention. After the subject was examined by paramedics, she was released to her sister.

November 10, 2020

Illegal Peddling – 3:41 p.m. – Orangethorpe/91 Fwy. – Subjects were reportedly asking for money, with four kids attempting to walk into traffic. Party advised and will comply.

November 11, 2020

Petty Theft – 6:15 p.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A homeless subject reportedly took a fire extinguisher from a business. Report taken.
Assist Other Department – 10:28 p.m. – Valley View/Artesia (Buena Park) – Buena Park Police Department, requested assistance with a large car club in the area of Valley View and Artesia. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was also en route. Vehicles dispersed in all directions. Assisted.
