Orange County native films an E-2C Hawkeye

Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Kyle Merritt, from Orange County, Calif., films an E-2C Hawkeye, from the “Sun Kings” of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 116, as seen from a C-2 Greyhound, from the “Providers” of Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VRC) 30, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68).

Nimitz, the flagship of Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three critical chokepoints to the free flow of global commerce.
