In the interests of public health because of the rapid increase in coronavirus cases region wide, including in Lakewood, Lakewood City Hall will close to in-person visits effective noon Monday, Dec. 21.

Trash, street sweeping, water and other city services will continue. Residents can continue to receive other services by contacting city staff via phone, email or internet forms.

The city website has a lot of information and online services available.

You can also ask a question or report any issues around the city easily by using the special Lakewood Connect app available for free download at the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

City Hall was already scheduled to be closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 3 for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. That closure will remain in effect. See the city service changes here.

A decision will be made prior to Monday, Jan. 4 on whether to reopen City Hall to in-person visits, and a special Lakewood Connect eMagazine will announce that decision.

Lakewood City Hall was closed to in-person visits from mid-March until mid-June during the early months of the pandemic, and city staff are adept at providing service to residents remotely.
