December 14, 2020

Commercial Burglary – 9:59 a.m. – 5200 block of Lincoln Ave. – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect entered the business through a rear glass door smash and stole $6000 worth of cash and products
Arrest – 1:05 p.m. – 4700 block of Merten – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for a no bail parole warrant.

December 15, 2020

Assist Outside Agency – 12:40 a.m. – 3200 block of Katella Ave. – K-9 Officer and K9 Kubo assisted Los Alamitos PD on a window smash burglary. A suspect was not located
Assist Outside Agency – 2:32 a.m. – 3700 block of La Colmena – Cypress Officers assisted Los Alamitos PD on a failure-to-yield traffic stop where they requested assistance on a subject who was resisting arrest. The subject was taken into custody just prior to Cypress PD’s arrival. Cypress Officers assisted with the investigation.

December 16, 2020

Grand Theft – 8:31 a.m. – 5600 block of Plaza – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect stole $10,000 worth of copper piping.

December 17, 2020

Arrest – 9:00 a.m. – 5200 block of Orange Ave. – During follow-up on a CIB case, a male subject was arrested for felony domestic violence.
Missing/Found Person – 11:00 a.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Avenue – A citizen was reported missing by his brother. He was last seen on video walking eastbound. He was later located at Walker and Danny.

December 18, 2020

Returned Missing Juvenile – 1:08 a.m. – 9000 block of Bloomfield – A juvenile was found by her father in Tijuana, Mexico. She was brought back home by her mother; she was well and not a victim of any crimes.
Municipal Code Violation – 1:29 p.m. – 5800 block of Orange Ave. – Between 12/17/20 at
12:00 p.m. and 12/18/20 at 12:00 p.m., an unknown subject shot an arrow into the side of the homeowner’s residence, lodging about 1” into the wood paneling. No known suspects and victim did not desire prosecution.

December 19, 2020

Assist Outside Agency – 1:17 a.m. – Valley View/Lincoln – A records check on a Toyota Tacoma revealed the vehicle was a felony vehicle with a named suspect out of LAPD-Rampart Division. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the suspect listed in the felony hit. LAPD responded and took custody of the suspect.
Traffic Collision – 4:18 p.m. – Valley View St. south of Katella Ave. – A pedestrian was fatally struck in the number 3 southbound lane of Valley View Street, adjacent to Phyllis, while trying to cross the roadway.

December 20, 2020

Injury on City Property – 1:08 p.m. – 5200 block of Orange Ave. – While attempting to locate the front doors to the police station, a subject fell and struck his head when he jumped from a retaining wall.
Revenge Porn – 3:14 p.m. – 5200 block of Bishop – The victim reported that her ex-boyfriend posted identifiable pornographic pictures and a video online in order to cause her emotional distress.
Medical Aid – 4:19 p.m. – 6200 block of Ball Rd. – A subject was found on the ground, unconscious and unresponsive. Suspecting a possible prescription drug overdose, NARCAN was administered with no response. The subject was transported for treatment.
DUI – 9:02 p.m. – 10300 block of Doris – Police responded to a call for service regarding a solo vehicle crashing into a brick wall. A male subject was arrested for DUI.
