December 10, 2020

Medical Aid – 11:22 p.m. – 5000 block of Shirley Dr. – A male subject reportedly had difficulty breathing. OCFA responded. The subject had a pulse after OCFA performed CPR. The subject was transported to the hospital.

December 11, 2020

Traffic Hazard – 8:40 a.m. – Valley View/La Palma – A shopping cart was reportedly in the westbound lanes of La Palma just west of Valley View. Police were unable to locate the shopping cart.
Drunk in Public – 4:55 p.m. – Centerpointe – A male subject was reportedly laying outside on the sidewalk near the dumpster passed out. There were beer cans also laying around the subject. Police made contact with the subject and determined he was capable of caring for himself and he was planning on checking into a nearby hotel. The management of the hotel advised that they did not want the subject on the property. The subject was advised of this and went to a motel.

December 12, 2020

Counseling – 1:57 p.m. – 8400 block of Meadowlark Ln. – The reporting party came to the station regarding a neighbor possibly using the RP’s address for selling items online. Counseled.
Drunk Driver – 8:52 p.m. – Walker/Crescent – Two vehicles were reportedly involved in a traffic collision. One party had been drinking. A Spanish translator was requested to assist from the Buena Park Police Department. A 53-year-old male subject was arrested for misdemeanor DUI.

December 13, 2020

Vehicle Check – 8:17 a.m. – 5500 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A vehicle had been in the parking lot since 11 p.m. the night before. The caller believed that the vehicle may be occupied but was not sure. Police conducted a vehicle search and subsequently arrested a28-year-old female for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Traffic Collision – 8:33 p.m. – Moody/South – Police responded to a two-vehicle collision where one vehicle was rear-ended. The reporting party stated that the other vehicle was trying to leave the scene. Police suspected that one driver was driving under the influence and performed field sobriety tests. OCFA was requested for a complaint of neck pain. A 33-year-old male subject was subsequently arrested for DUI.

December 14, 2020

Assault/Battery – 1:44 a.m. – 6500 block of Valley View St. – The caller stated that three subjects assaulted him. The victim desired prosecution and was cleared at the scene by OCFA. No cameras were on site. Report taken.
Suspicious Subject – 8:23 a.m. – 8000 block of Walker St. – A subject was reportedly seen touching himself inappropriately and shaving in reflective windows. Police contacted and arrested a 31-year-old male subject for possession of controlled substances. The subject was released on cite and warned regarding trespassing at the location.
Traffic Stop – 9:58 a.m. – Crescent/Walker – During a traffic stop, police conducted a search of the vehicle and subsequently arrested a 28-year-old female subject for theft of lost property and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was released on citation and the vehicle was towed from the location.

December 15, 2020

Welfare Check – 6:28 a.m. – 4600 block of La Palma Ave. – A female transient was reportedly laying in the grass. The caller was concerned because of the cold temperature. When contacted by police, the subject refused medical attention and headed towards Cerritos.
Municipal Code Violation – 7:34 a.m. – 7500 block of Keith Cir. – The caller reported a loud noise coming from another residence, possibly construction noise. The caller was advised that the noise was permitted within the permitted hours.

December 16, 2020

Suspicious Subject – 11:19 a.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A female with no ID was reportedly asking for cigarettes. The female was wearing a T-shirt and panties. Police contacted the female, who put on a pair of shorts and refused all assistance for a shelter.
Restraining Order – 2:25 p.m. – 7800 block of Jennifer Cir. – La Palma Police units went to the location to serve a court order. The subject was served and left the area.
