January 4, 2021

Assist Outside Agency – 5:08 a.m. – Pacific Coast Highway/Anderson (Seal Beach) – Seal Beach Police was following an occupied stolen vehicle southbound PCH from Anderson. The vehicle yielded and a high risk vehicle stop was conducted. A Cypress Police Officer responded and assisted. The suspect surrendered and was taken into custody with no further incident.
Traffic Collision – 10:40 p.m. – Grindlay/Lincoln – A driver was traveling westbound on Lincoln when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the raised concrete bench on the northeast sidewalk.

January 5, 2021

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 2:17 a.m. – From a vehicle check, an unoccupied stolen vehicle was located. The vehicle was reported stolen on 12/31/20 out of Garden Grove.

January 6, 2021

Grand Theft – 12:17 a.m. – 9000 block of Cobblestone – The victim’s catalytic converter was stolen from his Toyota Prius between 01/01/21 and 01/05/21 at 2300 hours.
Grand Theft – 9:00 a.m. – 6300 block of Gateway Dr. – Sometime during the past month, unknown suspects gained access to the roof and stole a large amount of AC unit copper pipe. The total loss and damage is not yet known.

January 7, 2021

Vehicle Theft – 4:22 p.m. – 5900 block of Suva St. – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s vehicle from the front of the victim’s residence.

January 8, 2021

Grand Theft from Vehicle – 8:43 a.m. – 10500 block of Eudora Circle – Overnight, unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole hand tools, cash, and credit cards. There was no suspect information.
Grand Theft from Vehicle – 9:33 a.m. – 11500 block of New Zealand St. – Overnight, unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole a purse with money and a wallet (value of $3000).
Arrest – 8:09 p.m. – 10100 block of Saltair Dr. – From a single vehicle hit-and-run traffic collision investigation, the passenger was arrested for identity theft. The driver was identified, but not located.

January 9, 2021

Stolen Vehicle – 8:13 a.m. – Ball/Bloomfield – On 01/06/21, the victim’s vehicle was stolen from the street. The victim discovered it missing today; a records check revealed the vehicle was impounded in Long Beach.
Found Property – 9:36 a.m. – Saltair/Myra – A resident in the area located a fanny pack with identity theft documents and a BB gun in the bushes. Based on the location and identity theft items, it is possibly related to nightshift’s arrest.
Vehicle Burglary – 5:34 p.m. – 9200 block of Valley View – Between 11:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., an unknown suspect forced entry into the victim’s vehicle and stole 3 bags containing clothing, sunglasses, and gift cards valued at $1525.00

January 10, 2021

Grand Theft – 4:33 p.m. – 9400 block of Holder St. – Between 9 a.m. and the time of call, unknown suspect stole the tailgate off the victim’s 2013 Ford F250. The loss was valued at $1,500.
