Casa Youth Shelter to hold Youth Leadership Conference on Feb. 20

Registration for Casa Youth Shelter’s 18th Annual Youth Leadership Conference, Unstoppable, is now open!

The Youth Leadership Conference is an annual day of self-discovery, friendship, cultural exchange, leadership building, inspiration, and service. Featuring a series of intensive workshops and a dynamic keynote speaker, this event focuses on educating and empowering future leaders.

This FREE event is open to Middle School and High School students. To comply with COVID-19 safety guidelines, the Youth Leadership Conference will be held virtually on Saturday February 20 from 9:00 AM-2:30 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in 3 virtual workshops that discuss different topics such as how to be an LGBTQ+ Ally, How to Build Healthy Relationships, Suicide Prevention and more! We will end with our amazing Keynote Speaker, Dr. Theodore Burnes, who will discuss how youth can be an ally, persevere, and be Unstoppable.

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to come together to learn, share, grow – and receive community service hours. Our goal is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to handle difficult situations and to act as peer advocates. We hope that you share this opportunity with the youth you work with. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Let’s all come together and support our youth to become Unstoppable.
