February 12, 2021
Traffic Collision – 5:43 p.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – A vehicle reportedly drove through the parking lot at approximately 60 miles per hour and hit several vehicles. Police detained a female subject in cuffs and she was transported to the hospital. The female was subsequently arrested for false identification to peace officers, DUI, and obstruction. She was released in the care of the hospital.

Municipal Code Violation – 6:51 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A transient was reportedly digging through a dumpster. Party advised and will comply.
Suspicious Vehicle – 9:07 p.m. – 7100 block of Caprice Cir. – An unfamiliar truck reportedly pulled into the neighborhood. Police contacted the occupants of the vehicle and conducted a parole search. A 25-year-old subject was arrested for possession of controlled substances and an outstanding warrant and a 40-year-old subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and appropriation of lost property.

Flag Down – 1:27 p.m. – 5900 block of Orangethorpe Ave. (Buena Park) – A Buena Park resident wanted to report a stolen wallet. The subject was advised to contact the Buena Park Police Department.
Patrol Check – 3:41 p.m. – 7700 block of Furman Rd. – The caller observed a subject hop a fence approximately three minutes prior. Police were unable to locate the subject.
February 15, 2021
Citizen Assist – 5:17 a.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – The reporting party believed that there were suspicious circumstances for a patient who fell in La Mirada. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office-Norwalk responded and La Palma Police assisted as they handled the incident.
Citizen Assist – 11:18 a.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – The reporting party requested assistance after being locked out of their vehicle. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys retrieved.

Vehicle Burglary Report – 5:38 a.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Police investigated a possible vehicle burglary. A subject was detained and was determined to be the owner of the vehicle.
Extra Patrol Checks – 12:23 p.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – Extra patrol checks were requested regarding an employee’s ex-boyfriend, who reportedly drove by that morning. The employee was attempting to get a new restraining order against the subject.

Area Check – 11:25 a.m. – Del Amo/Coyote Creek – The caller advised that there was a lot of trash around a homeless encampment. The caller further advised that it looked like there was a fire recently put out in the area and was concerned that the trash was a fire hazard. Police arrested a 26-year-old subject for possession of a drill/etc. with intent to vandalize and giving false identification to peace officers.
Petty Theft Report – 7:46 p.m. – Moody/Crescent – A group of subjects in their late teens pushed a clerk and stole a pack of cigarettes. There were no visible weapons. The product was dropped at the door when they fled the scene. Police were unable to locate the subjects. Report taken.
