Anaheim Police arrest suspect in shooting on Jackson Avenue

Anaheim Homicide Detectives have arrested a 17-year-old male resident of Anaheim for a recent homicide.

On Friday, February 5, 2021, just before 6 pm, Anaheim Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting inside an apartment in the 3000 block of E. Jackson Avenue. Arriving officers located 17-year-old male Hispanic Anaheim resident suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he died as a result of the shooting.

On Thursday, February 11, 2021, Anaheim homicide detectives arrested a 17-year-old male Hispanic Anaheim resident for the murder. Homicide detectives are not releasing a motive for the shooting or details about the relationship between the suspect and victim. The names of both the suspect and victim are being withheld due to their ages. The weapon used in the shooting has not been recovered.
