March 11, 2021

Stolen Vehicle Report – 1:18 p.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – The caller reported her vehicle was stolen. She advised that she was elderly and had hit her head but that she drove herself to the hospital. The caller later called back and advised that she located the vehicle in the hospital parking lot.
Disturbance (Family) – 8:27 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller’s ex-boyfriend was reportedly trying to get inside the location. The male subject had possibly been drinking. An emergency protection order was granted. Police conducted a patrol check of the complex and were unable to locate the subject. Felony stalking report taken.

March 12, 2021

Transient – 7:10 a.m. – Inwood/La Palma – A male subject was reportedly sleeping on the sidewalk at the intersection. The subject was uncooperative and didn’t want any assistance. Another reporting party called back to advise that the subject was still down in the area. This time the subject was not responding to officers and was possibly having a medical emergency. Paramedics were requested and the subject was transported to the hospital.
Petty Theft Report – 9:43 p.m. – 5800 block of Daisy Cir. – A package was taken from the porch at approximately 2 a.m. Multiple male subjects were seen on surveillance. The reporting party was out of town at the time of the occurrence. The contents of the package were taken and the box was discarded in a neighbor’s yard. No report desired.

March 13, 2021

Vehicle Tampering Report – 11:08 a.m. – 7400 block of Puerto Rico Dr. – A catalytic converter was reportedly stolen from a vehicle between 4:30 p.m. the previous day and 10:50 today. Report taken. Cameras were located in the area and the owner would contact the police if footage of the incident was located.
Hazard – 1:41 p.m. – 5100 block of Dover Dr. – Paint or some type of material was reportedly coming out from under a garage and going into the gutter. Police made contact with a construction worker, who was washing off paint brushes. Party advised and will comply.

March 14, 2021

Traffic Collision – 1:07 p.m. – Crescent/Moody – Three vehicles were involved in a traffic collision. Paramedics were requested. Traffic was blocked off on southbound Moody. Three tow trucks were requested for the vehicles. There were no injuries, and the parties exchanged information.
Walkthrough – 7:38 p.m. – 8300 block of Meadowlark Ln. – The front door was reportedly open when the reporting party’s wife arrived home. The reporting party stated that she left the door open. Officers did not see any signs of a burglary during the walkthrough.

March 15, 2021

Area Check – 7:06 p.m. – 91 Fwy./Orangethorpe – The California Highway Patrol reported that a vehicle seen in the area was involved in highway violence. The vehicle was last seen exiting the 91 Freeway at Orangethorpe in an unknown direction of travel. Police were unable to locate the vehicle between Moody and Valley View.
Petty Theft – 6:08 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A vehicle reportedly stole pallets from the back alley. Police were unable to locate the vehicle in a patrol check of the area. Report taken.

March 16, 2021

Suspicious Circumstances – 5:46 a.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A vehicle was possibly stolen from the location between 10:00 a.m. the previous day and 5:45 this morning. It was determined that the vehicle was impounded.
Traffic Stop – 3:24 p.m. – Moody/South (Cerritos) – Police performed a traffic stop and conducted field sobriety tests as part of a DUI investigation. A 60-year-old male subject was subsequently arrested for DUI and driving over the double line.
Transient – 3:59 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – A subject was reportedly loitering in the area and had urinated on the wall multiple times that day. The subject was uncooperative and refused to be searched. Party advised and will comply.

March 17, 2021

Health & Safety – 8:10 a.m. – 7821 Walker St. (La Palma Recreation Center) – A subject was reportedly injecting drugs in front of the location. The same subject was called in yesterday. Police arrested a 38-year-old male subject for possession of unlawful paraphernalia, obstruction, and parole violation.
Welfare Check – 7:34 a.m. – Centerpointe – The reporting party was supposed to meet with his boss and the subject was not responding from his room. Police checked Orange County Jail and Los Angeles County Jail and then attempted contact at the door. It was determined that the subject was a heavy sleeper.
Disturbance (Music) – 5:39 p.m. – 5300 block of Marview Dr. – Loud music was reportedly coming from the residence for the last couple of hours. Police contacted the homeowner, who advised that children were playing. No music was heard while police were in the area.
