VA Long Beach opens COVID-19 vaccine to all enrolled Veterans

VA Long Beach Healthcare System (VALB) is currently vaccinating all enrolled Veterans regardless of age or “essential worker” job criteria.

To date, VALB has provided over 37,000 Moderna vaccines comprised of both first and second doses of the two-dose vaccine. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and remain by appointment only. Veterans can schedule their appointments from 7:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday by calling 562-826-5300.

“The change in criteria will make a significant impact on streamlining the process for both our Veterans and our staff. The more Veterans we can vaccinate, the quicker our communities can safely return to gathering and celebrating life” said Richard Beam, Director of Public and Community Affairs for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System.
