March 18, 2021
Counseling – 9:35 p.m. – 4500 block of La Palma Ave. – An unknown subject was reportedly attempting to access the caller’s alarm over the computer. The security company recommended getting an incident report. The reporting party was counseled and advised to call back the company for recommendations for security upgrades. The reporting party requested that the incident be documented. Assisted.
Counseling – 11:14 p.m. – 5000 block of La Luna Dr. – The caller advised that an unknown subject was in her vehicle at approximately 2 p.m. The caller advised that her vehicle at times possibly goes missing and returns with sand on the floorboard, but the odometer never changes. Counseled.

Found Property – 8:13 a.m. – 8600 block of Santa Margarita Ln. – The reporting party found ammunition in the RP’s mother’s residence. Report taken.
Disturbance (Subject) – 12:30 p.m. – 8400 block of Walker St. – The owner of the business was reportedly in a verbal disturbance with a SoCal Edison employee. Both parties were counseled.
Foot Patrol – 11:48 p.m. – Orangethorpe/Coyote Creek – Police contacted a subject, who was detained in cuffs and subsequently arrested for a felony parole violation.
March 20, 2021
Municipal Code Violation – 12:26 p.m. – 7500 block of Kevin Ln. – The caller complained of a resident using an air compressor to paint a trailer in the street. Advised.
Traffic Stop – 6:51 p.m. – South/Carmenita (Cerritos) – During a traffic stop, it was determined that the vehicle had a false tag. The subject admitted to taking the tag from the subject’s father’s Toyota Tacoma. Citation issued.
March 21, 2021
Vandalism Report – 4:07 p.m. – 8500 block of Moody St. – Copper pipes were reportedly stolen and water main broken. The damages had already been repaired or replaced by the time of report. Report taken.
Area Check – 10:19 p.m. – Edison Row/Laurelwood – Two male subject were possibly smoking drugs and one subject possibly attempted to open a lock on an electrical box. Checked okay.
March 22, 2021
Disturbance (Subject) – 5:39 a.m. – Centerpointe – A male subject and a female subject were creating a disturbance at the front desk and possibly took a bag of chips. It was determined that there was no crime. Subjects advised regarding trespassing and left the area.
Welfare Check – 7:35 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject was reportedly sleeping on the sidewalk near the parking lot entrance. Police subsequently arrested a 26-year-old subject for obstructing/resisting a peace officer, outstanding warrant, and possession of controlled substances.
March 23, 2021
Welfare Check – 12:35 p.m. – Moody/La Luna – Police contacted a subject on a motorized wheelchair that possibly broke down in the bike lane. Police had had sever prior contacts with the subject. The subject was out of the roadway but the battery was dead. The subject’s daughter was not interested in coming out. The wheelchair was loaded in the PSA truck and the subject was transported home to Lakewood.
Disturbance (Family) – 8:34 p.m. – 7600 block of Black Star Ln. – A female subject reportedly locked her husband out of the house. The male party’s keys were inside of the home. The parties were separated, and the male would go to his brother’s residence.
March 24, 2021
Traffic Stop – 7:14 p.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – During a traffic stop, one subject was detained at gunpoint after it was determined that the vehicle he was driving was reported stolen. The subject was Mirandized and police attempted to contact the victim. The vehicle had both plates missing and was towed from the location. 35-year-old male subject arrested for possession of a controlled substance, vehicle theft, driving without a license, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Extra Patrol Checks – 10:07 a.m. – 7800 block of Valley View St. – Extra patrol checks were requested for the next week for a transient in the area during business hours.
Flag Down – 1:58 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (La Palma Recreation Center – A suspicious subject was reportedly recording kids. Police located the subject on a patrol check. The subject allowed police to look at his photos and videos, and no photos or videos were pertaining to children. The subject was out on a walk reading from his phone.
