Garden Grove offers free virtual workshops for seniors

For the month of April, the City’s H. Louis Lake Senior Center is offering free workshops called, “Let’s ‘Chat’ About It Thursdays” on Thursdays, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., via Zoom or by phone. Seniors 55 and older can participate in a wellness workshop, virtual recreation, spring craft, and learn about Orange County’s resource and referral system 211.

The virtual workshops are open to all seniors. To register, call (714) 741-5423. Zoom identification number and password will be provided during registration.

Dates and activities are:

  • April 8 – Discuss wellness during times of grief and loss.
  • April 15 – Learn how to navigate virtual recreational activities.
  • April 22 – Let’s get crafty! Pick up a craft kit at the H. Louis Lake Senior Center, located at 11300 Stanford Avenue, Garden Grove, 92840. Space is limited to the first 10 registrations. There will a $5 material fee.
  • April 29 – Learn how to navigate resources for older adults.
