West Orange County Republican Women Federated had a “yuge” turnout at its April 17 meeting that welcomed former One America News Network commentator Graham Ledger. Ledger, now host of the Ledger Report podcast, discussed the benefits of Republican led states calling a convention of states. He shared that 15 states have already made the commitment with other red states leaning in that direction. Looking at the problems in California as a result of Democrat one-party rule, Ledger told members and guests that amending the California Constitution, which has been amended more than 500 times since the state joined the union, might be more successful than recalling a failing governor like Gavin Newsom.
Following Ledger’s speech, WOC RWF President Nancy Hathcock said, “With Joe Biden seeking to dramatically and negatively alter the United States of America, a convention of states might be key to saving this country from socialism. It’s definitely an option that Republicans should look into until we win back the House in 2022.”
Later in the meeting Publicity Chairwoman Robin Itzler announced that the club would be holding a rally to ‘Stop Socialism in America’ on Saturday, May 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. near the Shops at Rossmoor. “May first is the perfect day for patriots to peacefully protest against socialism since May Day is celebrated in many communist and socialist countries,” said Itzler.
With club membership more than doubling in less than one year, the board of directors held a new member orientation following the regular meeting. “New and seasoned members enjoyed learning about the benefits of being part of the Federation,” explained Hathcock. “With just one membership fee, our members belong to three outstanding organizations: West Orange County Republican Women Federated, the California Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women. This is an amazing time to be part of this fantastic organization!”
