April 12, 2021

Catalytic Converter Theft – 6:06 a.m. – Denni/Casa Grande – Officers responded when the reporting party called and said he observed a suspicious male removing a jack from under the victim’s vehicle. The suspect fled in a waiting black Lincoln Towncar northbound on Denni and we were unable to locate him. The victim confirmed the suspect stole the catalytic converter prior to fleeing.
Arrest – 12:38 p.m. – 5800 block of Katella Ave. – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

April 13, 2021

Hit and Run – 6:42 a.m. – Larwin/Bloomfield – The mother of the juvenile victim called to report her daughter was struck by a white vehicle while she was riding her bicycle. She suffered minor injuries.
Theft from a Vehicle – 11:25 a.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln – At approximately 10:30 a.m., an unknown suspect stole tools from the victim’s work truck. The loss was valued at $2172.00.
Graffiti – 2:58 p.m. – 5400 block of Myra – Sometime over the weekend, an unknown suspect spray painted “Merry” and profanity on the various walls in black paint and blue marker. Approximately 25 various locations throughout the campus valued at $400 damage, no suspect info.

April 14, 2021

Pedestrian Check – 1:34 a.m. – Katella/Meridian – From a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for poss. of a dagger and poss. of a controlled substance.
Hit and Run – 9:30 p.m. – Lincoln/Moody – A male subject was driving westbound on Lincoln when he struck three parked vehicles. He fled on foot but was located in the 4600 block of Lincoln. The subject was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run.

April 15, 2021

Assist Outside Agency – 3:34 p.m. – Valley View/La Palma – Cypress officers were requested by La Palma Police Department to assist in clearing and blocking the intersection due to police activity.
Theft – 6:53 p.m. – 4500 block of Larwin Ave. – Sometime between 04-13-21 and time of call, an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2004 Honda Accord.

April 16, 2021

Grand Theft – 6:02 a.m. – 11300 block of Holder – Between 4:15 a.m. and time of call, the victim had $1700 worth of work equipment stolen from his unlocked Ford F250 truck. No suspect information.
Petty Theft – 3:19 p.m. – 5800 block of Katella Ave. – Occurred within the last hour, a male white, wearing green camo hat, black tank top, camo shorts on a red bike stole the tip jar containing approximately $50.

April 17, 2021

Arrest – 9:59 a.m. – 11400 block of Seabrook Wy. – From a call for service, officers arrested a female subject for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Traffic Collsion – 10:49 a.m. – Lincoln/Moody – A single vehicle struck a city-owned roadside planter and cement pillar. There were no injuries; the collision was caused by an inexperienced driver learning with her father.
Pedestrian Check – 11:15 p.m. – Lincoln/Hoffman – From a pedestrian check, officers arrested a subject for possession of a controlled substance. The subject was cited and released in the field.

April 18, 2021

Bicycle Stop – 10:44 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a bicycle stop, officers arrested a male subject for a no-bail vehicle theft warrant. The subject was transported and booked at Orange County Jajil.
