April 19, 2021

Arrest – 1:33 p.m. – 5400 block of Myra – From a call for service, a subject was arrested for a warrant.
Catalytic Converter Theft – 10:54 a.m. – 4100 block of Larwin – Between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle.

April 20, 2021

Commercial Burglary – 10:24 a.m. – 8800 block of Walker St. – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect smashed the front glass door and stole 40+ cell phones, a lap top and miscellaneous electronic parts. The loss was valued at approximately $26,000.
Vandalism – 10:06 p.m. – 10900 block of Yamaha Wy. – A gray, 2017 Chevrolet Suburban was vandalized in the parking lot of the location. All four tires were punctured, the lift gate was damaged, and the rear window had been shattered. Damage was estimated at $4000.00. The victim was on a business with no known enemies.

April 21, 2021

Traffic Collision – 12:18 a.m. – Katella/Valley View – A vehicle belonging to the Orange County Fire Authority was traveling northbound on Valley View with lights and sirens on. When they attempted to make a right turn onto eastbound Katella, a Honda SUV tried to pass the fire engine on the right. A collision occurred in the intersection, causing moderate damage to the Honda and the front bumper was severely damaged on the fire engine. Media was on scene.
Pursuit – 3:24 a.m. – Orange/Denni – An officer attempted to make a traffic stop on a Red 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 for traffic violations. The vehicle failed to yield at reasonable speeds northbound on Denni, then westbound on Carson. It became a pursuit when the suspect ran the red signal at the 605 fwy, then fled at speeds up to 110 mph southbound on the 605 Fwy. Los Angeles California Highway Patrol took over the pursuit at the 405/710 interchange. The suspect yielded to CHP in San Pedro, after CHP deployed spike strips. Suspect was arrested by CHP for attempted evasion.

April 22, 2021

Suspicious Subject – 1:01 a.m. – 9900 block of Valley View St. – Officers were dispatched to the location regarding a subject rummaging through the Red Cross donation box. Officers arrested a female subject for misdemeanor vandalism after she admitted to damaging a lock at the property.
Fraud Report – 10:22 a.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave – The reporting party stated $56,000 was fraudulently wired to an unknown suspect posing as a law firm.

April 23, 2021

Traffic Stop – 11:00 a.m. – Lincoln/Knott – From a traffic stop, a female subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia and a second female subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon – 7:44 p.m. – 10900 block of Meridian – While having dinner, the victim was hit over the head with a Saki bottle by a female. The suspect fled the location prior to officers’ arrival. Police are conducting a follow-up in an attempt to identify the suspect.

April 24, 2021

Attempted Burglary – 12:42 a.m. – 9000 block of Knott Ave. (Buena Park) – While traveling southbound on Knott from Lincoln, officers observed two subjects possibly attempting to gain entry into a dental office. Upon contact, two subjects fled from the officers. A male subject was detained in the area. A perimeter was established and during a search of the area with the assistance of Buena Park Police Department, and another subject was located hiding in an alley west of the location. Buena Park PD handled the investigation and arrest for attempted burglary.
Burglary – 8:43 a.m. – 5900 block of Lakeshore – Occurred overnight: the locked storage shed was broken into and computer equipment and a ladder were stolen valued at approximately $940.
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Cypress Civic Center – Detectives collected over 450 pounds of unused prescription medication during the event. The drugs were transferred to the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) for disposal at the conclusion of the event.

April 25, 2021

Grand Theft – 7:19 a.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – Between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. today, an unknown suspect stole a flatbed golf cart.
Traffic Collision – 5:33 p.m. – Moody/Merten – From a solo vehicle traffic collision investigation, a female subject was arrested for DUI.
