April 16, 2021
Extra Patrol Checks – 8:52 a.m. – 5000 block of Dumaine Dr. – The caller requested extra patrol checks until April 19 for a fumigated residence.
Area Check – 6:49 p.m. – 5200 block of Ivywood Dr. – An unknown subject was reportedly parked in the driveway approximately five minutes earlier. Police located the vehicle and contacted the driver, who was determined to be a Postmates driver who had the wrong address.
April 17, 2021
Disturbance (Family) – 6:44 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The reporting party’s brother had reportedly been drinking alcohol, yelling at family, and destroyed property inside the residence. No prosecution desired. The subject had left the area and had a friend picking him up from a different location.
Reckless Driving – 8:38 p.m. – Thelma/Walker – A black BMW sedan possibly hit a vehicle and was diving on curbs. The driver was possibly driving under the influence. The vehicle and curb damage were located on Jamaica. The vehicle crashed into a raised brick planter in the 5500 block of Jamaica. Buena Park Police Department was notified and responded to handle the investigation.
April 18, 2021
Welfare Check – 8:59 p.m. – 5000 block of Sharon Dr. – The reporting party suspects that the children’s mother was drinking while watching the children, who are 17, 11, and 10 years of age. Police determined that there was no violation at this time. The mother was not impaired. All parties counseled.
April 19, 2021
Citizen Assist – 6:52 a.m. – Walker/Houston – The reporting party requested to speak with an officer regarding possible vandalism. The police contacted the reporting party and took a piece of paper with a skull drawing for disposal.
Municipal Code Violation – 7:56 a.m. – 5200 block of Iberville Cir. – The caller complained of construction noise prior to 8 a.m. The caller was advised that construction hours can occur between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Transient – 12:13 p.m. – 6900 block of Walker St. – A subject was reportedly sleeping in the parking lot of the business. Police contacted the subject and performed a search. A 31-year-old subject was subsequently arrested for appropriation of lost property and carrying a concealed dirk or dagger. The subject was transported and booked at Orange County Jail.
Vandalism – 10:39 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – Male teenagers reportedly used a pink color bomb inside the store. Another customer stated that he had ear pain. The teens were last seen running southbound on walker. The vandalism was color dust only, no damage at this time. It was determined that the subject complaining of ear pain was involved in the prank and no one else needed medics.
April 20, 2021
Traffic Stop – 11:19 a.m. – 4600 block of La Palma Ave. – Police conducted a DUI investigation during a traffic stop. A blood tech was requested to respond to the station. A 55-year-old male subject was arrested for DUI. A family remember was requested to pick up the subject’s vehicle. The subject was released on citation.
April 21, 2021
Disturbance (Subject) – 7:11 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject was reportedly bothering customers and was asked to leave the store. The subject was now loitering in front of the store. Police contacted the subject, who complained of a sword in his back. Police were unable to see a sword at this time. The subject had possible chest pains. OCFA was requested and treated the subject, who was then transported to the hospital.
Municipal Code Violation – 10:55 a.m. – 7600 block of Barbi Ln. – A subject was possibly burning trash on the front porch of the residence. Police contacted the resident, who was burning some type of paper on the front porch as a type of cultural display. There was very small smoldering in a metal container. The subject was advised regarding the Municipal Code of “obnoxious” fumes. Party advised and will comply.
Counseling – 6:07 p.m. – 5000 block of Shirley Dr. – The reporting party requested counseling regarding possible identity theft. It was determined that there was no crime. The subject named in the documents was a former resident at the reporting party’s residence.
