Warm daytime temperatures and overnight temperatures above 50 °F are good for the continued growth of establishing tomato seedlings and for setting fruit. The short heatwave at the end of last week would have wilted our seedlings if we hadn’t watered them a second time during the afternoon. Four of the five plants are now flowering —Amish Gold is lagging I think because it receives the least amount of direct sunshine. Altough overnight temperatures will be warm enough, but I will be surprised if the young plants actually set fruit.
