Qualifying for Boys/Girls Individual Tennis Championships – Each CIF-SS league may nominate 2 singles and 2 doubles teams from their league to be considered for entry into the 2021 CIF-SS Boys/Girls Individual Tennis Championships.

The CIF-SS Tennis Advisory Committee will review all league nominations and select who they consider to be the Top 20 singles players and Top 20 doubles teams for entry into the Boys/Girls Individual Tennis Championships. The Tennis Advisory Committee will also compile a 5 player/5 team Alternate List to be used if there are withdrawals from the Top 20 selected initially.

The Tennis Advisory Committee will use UTR ratings, USTA/SCTA (14/16/18’s) rankings and notes from coaches to help in the selection process. More information is available on our Boys and Girls Tennis pages at www.cifss.org.

While the qualifying process for the Southern Section Boys and Girls Individual Tennis Championships has changed for this year, we strongly encourage leagues to still conduct their League Finals tournaments, if they choose to do so and as long as they get the necessary approvals from local county health departments, to recognize League Champions and all participants from league schools for their accomplishments.
