April 29, 2021

Animal Call – 10:15 a.m. – 5600 block of Thelma Ave. – A cat was reportedly stuck in an air vent from the stove and SEAACA reportedly refused service. OCFA was requested when the female fell and hit her head on a brick pillar in front of the residence. OCFA obtained two kittens from the vent and SEAACA was requested to meet at the station for pickup. The female was transported to the hospital.
Suspicious Vehicle – 1:31 p.m. – Andre/La Palma – A black Mustang unknown to the area was seen with a male subject exiting the vehicle and walking around the neighborhood. The driver was a female subject. The caller believed that they were possibly casing the area. Police contacted the female subject and requested Buena Park Police to assist with a search. A 29-year-old female subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and an outstanding felony warrant. Another subject was field interviewed and released.

April 30, 2021

Transient – 7:22 a.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A transient reportedly had a rock and was yelling obscenities and threatening to throw the rock at cars. The subject stated that he had a broken hand and was transported to the hospital.
Suspicious Circumstances – 11:49 p.m. – Orangethorpe/Coyote Creek – A female was reportedly heard yelling “I don’t want to die” at a male. The female was also heard saying “Help, get off me, you’re hurting me.” Police arrested a 27-year-old male subject for violation of a court order and obstruction.

May 1, 2021

Disturbance (Subject) – 3:27 p.m. – Crescent/Santa Margarita – A subject reportedly made threats. The reporting party believed that the subject was under in the influence and also had a broken bottle. OCFA treated a subject for a cut on the hand. One subject arrested for criminal threats.
Person Down – 6:19 p.m. – 8400 block of Moody St. – Two subjects were reportedly passed out in a vehicle. Police contacted the subjects and performed a search of the vehicle. A 23-year-old Cypress resident was arrested for an outstanding warrant and possession of nitrous oxide. The driver did not appear to be under the influence. The vehicle was left legally parked and the subject went inside of a residence on Watson.

May 2, 2021

Transient – 8:57 a.m. – Moody/La Luna – An anonymous reporting party stated that a transient was at the bus bench. The subject checked okay and was waiting for the bus.
Disturbance (Subject) – 2:29 p.m. – 4900 block of La Palma Ave. – A business owner reported a loud male subject with a megaphone in the parking lot. Police contacted the subject, who was counseled about yelling into the megaphone and and advised to stay on the sidewalk on public property.
Traffic Collision – 9:30 p.m. – Moody/Borrego – A vehicle reportedly struck a wall, causing the wall to collapse. A second vehicle was also involved. Paramedics were requested for a complaint of back pain. One vehicle was towed from the area.

May 3, 2021

Suspicious Subject – 6:54 a.m. – 7300 block of Aspen Cir. – A male subject was reportedly walking in the reporting party’s backyard. Buena Park Police assisted with a search of the area. Police were unable to locate the subject.
Missing Juvenile – 10:11 p.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – The reporting party’s grandson reportedly ran away after she took away his video games. The juvenile returned to the residence by 10:38 p.m. Police spoke with the juvenile who stated that he went out for a walk due to frustration about his grades.

May 4, 2021

Animal Call – 6:16 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – Ducklings were reportedly in front of the business. SEAACA advised.
Petty Theft Report – 10:29 a.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – A first aid kit and other supplies valued at $100 were reportedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle. Surveillance was available.

May 5, 2021

Burglary Report – 6:12 a.m. – 7800 block of Walker St. – The reporting party found a brick in front of the business and believed that it was thrown in an attempt to burglarize the business. There was damage to the glass and the door frame. The reporting party was not the owner of the business, who initially did not want police to respond due to believing that charges would be accrued. Photographs were taken.
Patrol Check – 7:57 a.m. – 7800 block of Walker St. – A burglary suspect in possession of prescription medication with the label ripped off was tracked back to the area of the 7800 block of Walker between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. The reporting party requested a patrol check. Police conducted a patrol check of all pharmacies in the city.
Welfare Check – 9:16 a.m. – 8200 block of Somerdale Ln. – A 1-2 year old was reportedly walking by himself in front of the residence. The reporting party attempted contact at the residence but there was no answer. The child was returned to his mother after police made contact at the residence. Child Protective Services advised. Report taken.
