Supervisor Katrina Foley (District 2) issued the following statement around the CDC’s latest masking guidance:
“To address the confusion about masks, I wanted to share with you the attached press release issued by our Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHA) to provide clarity on the CDC’s latest recommendations regarding face masks.
In Orange County and throughout California, face masks are still required indoors by employers and employees according to OSHA. If fully vaccinated, you can remove the mask except in crowded situations as described in the attached announcement. If not yet vaccinated, masks are still recommended to avoid spread of COVID-19 and any variants.
We are so close to the light at the end of the tunnel. You can get your vaccine in D2 at the OC Fair every day and until 8pm on Thursdays. No appointment is necessary, and walk-ins are encouraged.”
