City of Lakewood Memorial Day ceremony to be held in person on May 31

The City of Lakewood has been granted approval by the L.A. County Public Health Department to hold the city’s traditional in-person Memorial Day ceremony on May 31 at 11 a.m. at the Lakewood Veterans Memorial Plaza at Del Valle Park, with special health protocols in place to protect attendees.

One of the special protocols to keep attendance within specified levels is a requirement that attendees pre-register for reserved seating at the event. There is no cost for the seating.

The following rules will be implemented on Memorial Day:

  • Masks must be worn at all times, except when drinking/eating.
  • All guests must pre-register in order to attend the event in person.
