May 24, 2021
Traffic Stop – 2:22 a.m. – Aurelia Avenue/Marion Avenue – From a traffic stop, two male subjects were arrested for possession of methamphetamine, paraphernalia and burglary tools. During a search of the vehicle, police found a reciprocating saw, car jack and a catalytic converter. An area check was conducted and police were unable to locate a victim vehicle.
Traffic Stop – 8:20 p.m. – Lincoln/Walker – From a car stop, a male subject was arrested for possession of fentanyl and misappropriation of lost property.
May 25, 2021
Pedestrian Check – 12:40 a.m. – Katella/Yamaha – From a pedestrian check, police contacted subject who was reported as a missing person from Redlands Police Department. She was not a victim of a crime
Protective Custody Warrant Arrest – 2:50 p.m. – Undisclosed location – A detective requested assistance from patrol contacting and taking into custody a missing juvenile. The juvenile was contacted and taken into custody for an out-of-county protection warrant without incident.
May 26, 2021
Traffic Stop – 12:53 a.m. – Lincoln west of Holder – From a car stop, a male subject was arrested for transportation of methamphetamine for sales, possession of a methamphetamine pipe, and a warrant.
Arrest – 10:44 a.m. – 9300 block of Valley View St. – From a call for service, a female subject was arrested for a $100,000 kidnapping warrant. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department sent a deputy to take custody of the arrestee.
May 27, 2021
Commercial Burglary – 12:25 a.m. – 5300 block of Katella Ave. – Officers were dispatched to the location regarding a burglary alarm. When officers arrived they located a front window smash. During the investigation video was obtained that showed the suspect committing the crime. A Seal Beach Officer observed a suspicious person matching the description of our suspect in Seal Beach. After a lengthy surveillance by Seal Beach Detectives, the subject fled the location in a vehicle and was detained by Seal Beach Officers. A Cypress Officer responded to the car stop and confirmed that the subject was the same subject who committed the Cypress burglary and possibly the same suspect that committed a burglary at the location last week (he was wearing the same clothes). The male subject was arrested for commercial burglary and an outstanding theft warrant. The exact loss had not been determined.
Foot Patrol – 6:27 a.m. – 5700 block of Camp St. – During a foot patrol, a male subject was arrested for numerous outstanding narcotics warrants.
May 28, 2021
Homeless Outreach – 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Citywide – The Cypress Police Department Homeless Liaison Officer accompanied City Net with citywide homeless outreach.
Traffic Collision – 3:12 p.m. – Valley View/Katella – Five cars were involved in a collision in the intersection. Two subjects were transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons.
Battery – 5:46 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – Officers were dispatched regarding a subject
who punched the manager after the subject was refused service by the manager. The female subject was arrested for battery.
May 29, 2021
Stolen Vehicle – 8:54 a.m. – 6100 block of Lincoln Ave. – Occurred within the last few minutes, a known suspect stole the victim’s gray 2008 Honda Hybrid. A few hours later, the suspect dropped the vehicle off and the victim no longer wanted prosecution for the original crime, stating it was a misunderstanding.
Fraud – 11:37 a.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – A male subject attempted to cash a fraudulent check. He left his ID behind and was last seen in his vehicle towards Knott.
Traffic Stop – 9:34 p.m. – Ball/Denni – Police stopped a vehicle that was associated to a grand theft out of Monrovia. A felony car stop was conducted and two occupants were detained. From investigation, police arrested one subject for possession of methamphetamine. Monrovia Police Department responded and had the vehicle towed from the scene for evidence.

Arrest – 12:37 a.m. – Lincoln/Los Altos – From a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and metal knuckles.
Stolen Vehicle Investigation – 3:57 p.m. – 9200 block of Valley View – Sometime today, the victim’s white 2005 Ford E350 van was stolen.
