On June 1, 2021, Mayor Pro Tem Tito Ortiz resigned from his seat on the Huntington Beach City Council, citing personal conflicts. As such, the City Council will hold a Special Meeting on June 2 at 8PM to consider the appointment of a new Mayor Pro Tem. A detailed agenda can be viewed on the City’s website.
Over the next few weeks, the City Council will also begin discussing the timeline and means of appointing a new Council Member to fill the vacated seat.
