May 27, 2021
Welfare Check – 8:24 a.m. – 4700 block of Amberwood Ave. – A child called 911 multiple times. Cypress Police reported that they also received multiple calls from the location. Police determined that the caller was a 4-year-old child after making contact at the location. Party counseled.
Counseling – 9:28 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – The reporting party was upset over construction in the area. Public Works reported that the Gas Company had a valid permit. Counseled.
May 28, 2021
Foot Patrol – 6:39 p.m. – Moody/Coyote Creek – Police contacted two subjects on the north side. A 46-year-old female subject was arrested for failure to appear on a felony charge.
Pedestrian Check – 11:34 p.m. – Walker/Fresca – Following a pedestrian check, police arrested a 46-year-old male subject on drug charges and warrants for failure to appear on misdemeanor charges.
May 29, 2021
Audible Burglary Alarm – 12:14 a.m. – 6900 block of Marlin Cir. –Animal Call – 2:26 p.m. – 5100 block of Del Norte Cir. – The caller reported that she was not able to go inside her residence due to a large crow in front of the residence. Information provided to SEAACA to handle. The resident called back to advise that the crow flew away.
Unknown Trouble – 6:06 p.m. – 7600 block of Laurelwood Ln. – The reporting party stated that her daughter was having issues before the call disconnected. The reporting party did not pick up on multiple callbacks. Police made contact with both parties. The printer was vandalized. The mother did not desire prosecution.
Disturbance (Family) – 7:21 p.m. – 7600 block of Laurelwood Ln. – The caller heard a subject take the phone from the mother and hung up the phone. The caller was concerned about elder abuse. A 28-year-old female was arrested for petty theft and damaging/destroying any wireless communication device.
May 30, 2021
Traffic Collision – 3:12 p.m. – La Palma/Walker – Two vehicles were reportedly involved in a traffic collision. One subject was detained for possible DUI. A positive identification was made on the subject and vehicle and police conducted field sobriety tests. A 26-year-old Buena Park resident was arrested for DUI.The vehicle was towed from the location and impounded for 30 days.
Reckless Driving – 6:46 p.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – Vehicles were reportedly doing donuts and racing in the parking lot. Approximately 6-7 subjects were seen in the parking lot taking videos of them doing donuts. Police were unable to locate the subjects.
May 31, 2021
Hit and Run – 4:49 p.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – Staff requested police for a vehicle traffic collision in front of a high voltage electrical box. A possible suspect vehicle had plants and front end damage. No report taken. The civil matter will be handled via insurance and management.
Suspicious Subjects – 9:06 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (La Palma Recreation Center) – The caller stated the four to five subjects were seen smoking near the parking lot. Police were unable to locate the subjects.
June 1, 2021
Vehicle Burglary – 10:08 a.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Property was reportedly stolen overnight from a locked vehicle. Documents were lost and the gear shift was damaged. Report taken. The suspect was possibly the reporting party’s ex-boyfriend.
Disturbance (Neighbor) – 12:39 p.m. – 4700 block of Rancho Verde Dr. (Cerritos) – A neighbor was reportedly yelling at a construction worker and spraying water on this side of the property. The subject did not want the Sheriffs called, he just wanted the construction company to do their job right, as dust was blowing into his home, pool, and property. Assisted.
June 2, 2021
Theft By False Pretense – 10:31 a.m. – 7900 block of Birchwood Cir. – The reporting party was reportedly instructed by a supposed employer to deposit checks into her account and the bank advised the RP that the checks had bounced and were fraudulent. The RP is at a loss of approximately $2000. Report taken.
911 Hangup – 6:59 p.m. – 4800 block of Sandy Cir. – A male child was reportedly heard with a female adult before the line disconnected. Police made contact at the door and determined there was a verbal argument about the mother turning off the television.
