June 7, 2021
Grand Theft – 10:32 a.m. – 9300 block of Julie Beth St. – Unknown suspect distracted an elderly victim and stole a ring off his finger. Suspect was described as an Asian female who was last seen in a grey Hyundai Tucson SUV.
Grand Theft – 11:10 a.m. – 8700 block of Cypress Ave. – Unknown suspects cut and removed the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2009 Honda Element. During a follow-up investigation, police identified the suspect vehicle as a blue 2005 Chrysler registered out of Los Angeles.
Residential Burglary – 11:11 p.m. – 9800 block of Bloomfield Ave. – A subject entered the victim’s home through an unlocked patio slider while the victim was asleep on the couch and his wife was asleep in the bedroom. The victim awoke from the couch and began to enter the bedroom when the suspect ran out of the bedroom and exited the rear slider. The victim waited ten minutes before calling police. The suspect was described as a male, 19-23 yrs., light complected, 6’, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and black shoes. The loss was a black a suspicious person call where they located the above wallet. The suspect was not located. CSI was conducted.

Arrest – 3:19 a.m. – 6100 block of Lincoln Ave. – The reporting party heard cutting noises. An Officer contacted a male subject who was in possession of a catalytic converter, electric saw, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a credit card that was not his. The catalytic converter was found to have been stolen from a Mercedes. The subject was arrested for the above violations.
Grand Theft – 2:11 p.m. – 5800 block of Katella Ave. – Sometime overnight, an unknown
suspect stole a copper backflow water valve from the rear of the business valued at $1200.00.
June 9, 2021
Arrest – 12:38 p.m.- 4100 block of Elizabeth – A Police Aide attempted to tow a vehicle, and while the tow truck was lifting the car onto the truck, the registered owner attempted to prevent the car from being towed. The subject opened the door and placed his dog in the vehicle, and then got onto the tow truck ramp and leaned on his vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and a male subject was ultimately arrested for resisting/delay an officer.
Attempted Grand Theft – 2:12 p.m. – 9900 block of Holder – The victim interrupted a male subject who was underneath his vehicle attempting to remove the catalytic converter. The victim punched the suspect and then the suspect jumped up and swiped at the victim with the sawzall and fled in a maroon sedan southbound on Holder.

Arson Investigation – 1:20 a.m. – 4000 block of Ball Rd. – Dispatch received multiple callers regarding smoke seen behind the location. When officers arrived two dumpsters were found fully engulfed. A subject was contacted in the area and field interviewed. OCFA Arson Investigators responded and conducted an investigation.
Commercial Burglary – 4:00 a.m. – 6300 block of Lincoln Ave. – A passerby report an open door at the location and observed a newer Cadillac Escalade leaving the location. When officers arrived, a window smash was located. No suspects were present when the business was checked. An employee responded and advised that the cash register was missing. The business is equipped with surveillance cameras and the video will be provided when available.
Petty Theft – 9:01 a.m. – 6900 block of Andrew – While following the street sweeper, a Police Aide was notified by the sweeper that a male subject just stole a bicycle from a garage at the location. The male subject was with a female on roller skates. Officers arrived on scene and located a female subject exiting the neighborhood on Knott Ave. The bicycle was found abandoned a few streets away and the male subject was not located. Female was field interviewed and taken by ambulance to the hospital after admitting to swallowing a bag of fentanyl. The bicycle was returned to the owner.

Arrest – 6:45 a.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – After numerous calls for service between night and day shift, a male subject was arrested for attempt robbery, burglary, criminal threats and false imprisonment, after he attempted to steal a cell phone from a passerby and then crossed the street and went into the above location. Inside, he stole clothing (and changed into them) threatened the family that was inside (parents and two kids) and locked the screen door preventing them from leaving. Officers surrounded the location and the subject peacefully surrounded to officers.
Grand Theft – 9:32 a.m. – 8900 block of Electric – The victim’s five pound Yorkie was stolen the day before at approximately 5:23 p.m. from the front of the business and is valued at $2500. Surveillance footage of the suspects depicts two older females in dark clothing.
June 12, 2021
Theft in Progress – 10:34 p.m. – 8800 block of Watson St. – Officers were dispatched to the listed location regarding a catalytic converter theft in progress. One officer arrived on scene first and located a running white Honda occupied by one male and one female suspect. Another male suspect was lying underneath a parked U-Haul truck, in the process of removing the catalytic converter. Both male suspects fled on foot while the driver of the Honda fled in the vehicle. After a brief foot pursuit, one male subject was apprehended. The registered owner of the Honda was positively identified as the outstanding female suspect. The second male suspect was not located or identified.

Burglary – 11:54 a.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave. – While the victim was working out, an unknown female broke into her locker and stole her wallet. The victim’s credit cards were then used locally at Target.
Hit and Run Traffic Collision – 1:34 p.m. – Noumea/Valley View – A silver BMW (four-door) sedan struck a City-owned sign and fled the area before officers could arrive. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic in his twenties with brown hair.
Catalytic Converter Theft – 9:25 hours – Orangewood/Halawa – Between 9:15 and 9:30 p.m., an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle. Suspect was possibly driving a 4-door silver sedan.
