June 3, 2021

Disturbance (Subject) – 10:49 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – The City was contacted by an onsite contractor who advised that the owner of a business was moving cones blocking the street for construction. The cones were put back by a construction worker and a business employee was counseled. The City was called back and advised that the subject moved the cones again. Counseled.
Incident Report – 6:32 p.m. – 5500 block of La Palma Ave. – A report was taken regarding a possible credit card skimmer that was found.

June 4, 2021

Citizen Assist – 7:33 a.m. – Centerpointe – A subject reportedly locked their keys in their vehile and requested assistance.
Disturbance (Subjects) – 9:18 p.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Two male subjects were reportedly fighting. Police responded and the subjects were separated. Both Cypress Police and OCFA responded to assist. Report taken. No prosecution desired.

June 5, 2021

Fire – 9:07 a.m. – 5200 block of Banbury Cir. – A possible fire was reported on the second story of the location. It was unknown what caught on fire. The caller woke up to the alarm. All parties were evacuating and all family members were accounted for. OCFA responded and made forced entry. The fire was put out. Assisted.
Threats Report – 10:55 a.m. – 8400 block of El Pescador Ln. – The reporting party came to the station to report that his adult son was off his medication and making threats against the reporting party and his wife. The reporting party was in fear for his life.

June 6, 2021

Unknown Trouble – 1:57 a.m. – Centerpointe – Unknown subjects were reportedly fighting in one of the rooms. The caller heard one male and one female inside the room. No violence was seen. Both subjects were advised and separated.

June 7, 2021

Traffic Stop – 1:22 p.m. – Crescent/Walker – Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, and the driver appeared to be agitated. After police performed a vehicle search, they arrested a 69-year-old male subject for possession of a controlled substance. The vehicle was towed from the location.

June 8, 2021

Suspicious Circumstances – 1:19 a.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – A vehicle was found missing all four tires on the second floor of the structure. The vehicle appeared to be brand new. There was a parking pass belonging to the hotel chain. Police contacted all of those hotels within a 10-mile radius but were unable to gain any further information. Security was advised to tell the victim to contact La Palma Police to request a report.
Stray Animal – 1:01 p.m. – 5100 block of Huntswood Cir. – The caller was reportedly attempting to catch a bulldog in the area. The dog was detained and later reunited with its family.
Traffic Collision – 3:48 p.m. – Walker/Orangethorpe – Two vehicles were reportedly involved in a traffic collisions. Flatbed tow trucks were requested for the vehicles. One driver complained of pain and requested to be transported to the hospital. Following a DUI investigation, police arrested a 66-year-old Los Angeles resident for driving on a revoked or suspended license and DUI causing bodily injury.

June 9, 2021

Petty Theft Report – 10:08 a.m. – 5600 block of Vinevale Cir. – A plumbing snake was reportedly stolen from the bed of a truck. The property had been chained to the truck and hte cable was cut. The loss was valued at approximately $600. Surveillance was available. Report taken.
Petty Theft – 5:13 p.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller reported being followed by a subject who attempted to steal his bike. Police contacted the caller, who advised that the theft occurred in his backyard in the City of Cerritos. The caller had scrapes and abrasions but declined medics.
