  1. Why Fridays? Saturday is better

    1. Sharon,

Thank you for reading Orange County Breeze, and for taking the time to comment on this article.

Originally, the 2021 series of Concerts on the Green were planned as drive-up events in a parking lot at Cypress College. The City had to schedule the Concerts to avoid conflicting with other events at the College. Because the Cypress Swap Meet takes place every Saturday, the Concerts could not be scheduled to take place on a Saturday.

Although restrictions eased in time to move the Concerts back to the Civic Center Green from Cypress College, it was too late to rebook the bands for Saturday. The originally planned dates had to remain unchanged.

Please also note that the concert joined with the Salute to America event will remain at Cypress College.

I fully expect that the 2022 Concerts on the Green will return to Saturdays.

Again, thank you for reading Orange County Breeze.
