OCTA seeks public feedback on draft Natural Disaster Preparedness Plan

The Orange County Transportation Authority is seeking public input on its draft Hazard Mitigation Plan, designed to strengthen the organization’s resilience to natural hazards including flooding, earthquakes and wildfires.

A virtual open house, which will allow the public to review the plan, ask questions and provide input, is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30.

To register for the open house, or to review the plan and provide comments, please visit octa.net/HMP. Comments will be accepted through Wednesday, July 21.

The feedback OCTA receives will assist in developing a plan that ensures that Orange County residents, workers and visitors can keep moving and OCTA can keep running its transportation services even in the event of a natural disaster. The plan will also help OCTA apply for federal funding opportunities that allow for enhanced measures to prepare for natural disasters.
