Lots of summer fun planned at Rancho Los Cerritos

July is here and we have lots of summer fun planned. Tours of the house and gardens are back, summer camp is starting, and our Welcome Back Dinner is on 7/31! While we will be closed on 7/4 for Independence Day, the house will be decorated until 7/7 so stop by to see it while you can. Read about the history of celebrating Independence Day at RLC in our latest blog post by our Getty Marrow Multicultural Undergraduate Curatorial Intern Nikkita.

Recently, our Horticulturalist Marie spotted some wildlife at the Rancho! On the left, a Western Fence Lizard sits on a rock. On the right, a cute Raccoon hugs a Schinus Molle Pepper Tree.

Experience nature and history Wednesday – Sunday from 1-5 pm, with extended hours on Saturdays from 10 am-5 pm. Take a tour, explore the home and gardens, picnic, go on a scavenger hunt, shop at the outdoor market, and enjoy history.
