Senator Dave Min (D-Irvine) today announced his first bill advanced out of the State Assembly, paving its way to the Governor’s desk for a signature. Senate Bill (SB) 308, which modernizes California’s unclaimed property process, received widespread, bipartisan support in the other house.
“I thank my Assembly colleagues for supporting this good governance measure which will help so many Californians access their unclaimed property,” Min said. “SB 308 expands the use of electronic funds transfer in the unclaimed property remittance process, which is safer, more reliable and more efficient than processing paper checks. I’m proud this bill brings our government up to date with the technological changes we’ve seen in the 21st century.”
SB 308 received unanimous consent from the State Assembly and heads next to the Governor’s office.
