Rancho Los Alamitos reopened the Friendly Garden, Cutting Garden, and Rose Garden. Additionally, garden pathways and walkways are open in the Native Garden, Cactus Garden, and Oleander Walk for visitors to enjoy.

Waa’aka’: The Bird Who Fell in Love with the Sun

Join us at Rancho Los Alamitos for a reading of Waa’aka’: The Bird Who Fell in Love with the Sun by author Cindi Alvitre. Waa’aka’ is a beautiful children’s book that tells the Tongva creation story of Waa’aka’, a gorgeous bird who falls in love with Tamet, the sun. Following the reading is a presentation by artist and illustrator Carly Lake. Tongva storytelling and hands-on art activities are available outdoors.
