July 8, 2021

Missing Adult – 5:28 p.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – The caller’s 44-year-old brother was last seen the day before a 5:30 p.m. The subject left the residence on foot. The subject had mental health issues and was off his medication. La Palma Police contacted Cypress Police who stated that they dealt with the subject at approximately 8 a.m. as a disturbance incident at a business in Cypress. The subject had been transported to the hospitals.
Disturbance (Family) – 6:04 p.m. – 7400 block of Brian Ln. – The caller’s 25-year-old sister was reportedly yelling at their parents. The disturbance was determined to be verbal only.

July 9, 2021

Suspicious Subject – 11:39 a.m. – 7500 block of Walker St. – A subject had been pacing Walker and loitering in front of the caller’s residence for approximately two hours. The subject was seen talking to himself. Subject warned.
Suspicious Subject – 12:57 p.m. – Centerpointe – A subject reportedly stole food and was loitering in the building. The subject was not registered at the location. The subject had been field interviewed earlier. The business desired prosecution. The subject was gone on the arrival of police. Management decided to not pursue prosecution since the subject left.
Area Check – 6:53 p.m. – La Palma/Collins – A male subject was possibly defecating in the area of Walmart. Police located and detained a subject, who subsequently complained of internal pain. The subject was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The subject was later arrested for battery on a peace officer after attempting to kick one of the police officers. The uncooperative subject was transported to Orange County Jail.

July 10, 2021

Pedestrian Check – 1:30 p.m. – Coyote Creek/Walker – Police contacted a subject on the bike path between the 91 Freeway and Walker. A 57-year-old male subject was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.
Public Works Information – 6:19 p.m. – Sparrow Ln. – The caller advised that water was coming from the neighbor’s address. The RP attempted to contact the neighbor at the door but received no answer. Police contacted the homeowner’s daughter, who gave them permission to enter the rear yard. The water was shut off and the homeowners were notified.
Disturbance (Music) – 10:27 p.m. – 4500 block of Kathy Dr. – The caller believed that subjects were possibly drinking at a loud party on Kathy. Police made contact with the homeowner. Party advised and will comply on turning down the music.

July 11, 2021

Disturbance – 2:42 p.m. – 4900 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject was reportedly on a megaphone in front of the business. Police contacted the subject, who advised that he would lower his volume.
Disturbance (Subject) – 8:51 p.m. – 7200 block of Rampart Ln. – Two female subjects were reportedly screaming obscenities. Police contacted one female and determined that there was an argument between sisters. One subject had left the area. No crime.

July 12, 2021

Dead Animal – 11:43 a.m. – 5200 block of La Luna Dr. – The caller reported a mangled cat in the front yard. Message left for SEAACA.
Fraud/Forgery Report – 2:28 p.m. – 8000 block of Bluebird Ln. – The reporting party reportedly mailed a check from the Artesia Post Office to Capital One. The check was intercepted and the “payable to” was changed and cashed at a bank in Long Beach. Report taken.

July 13, 2021

Vehicle Check – 4:17 a.m. – 7000 block of Moody St. – Police conducted a check on a vehicle that was occupied by a sleeping subject. The subject checked okay and was sleeping for the next couple of house until work. The subject declined homeless resources and would be finding another place to stay for the night.
Welfare Check – 11:51 a.m. – 5100 block of Cornwall Dr. – The caller requested a welfare check of their best friend’s brother. The best friend had not been able to contact the brother for the past day. Police made several announcements with no response. The caller advised that the subject frequented the hospital and may have been admitted. The subject was not located at home.

July 14, 2021

Extra Patrol Checks – 5:17 p.m. – 6900 block of Walker St. – The reporting party had video surveillance of homeless subjects sleeping to the rear of the reporting party’s business. A female and a male with a bicycle and a dog had set up a tent. The subjects arrive after 3 a.m. and leave before 8 a.m., leaving behind garbage and graffiti.
Citizen Assist – 5:22 p.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – A subject reportedly had evidence of police corruption and drug sales on a flash drive and requested to speak with an FBI agent. The subject would only provide the flash drive to the FBI. The subject was provided the location of the Orange County FBI office and sent on his way.
