July 19, 2021
Theft – 7:03 a.m. – 4600 block of Lincoln Ave. – Sometime over the weekend, an unknown suspect stole the battery from a backhoe.
Hit and Run – 5:25 p.m. – 5600 block of Plaza Dr. – Officers responded to a location regarding a hit and run, where the suspect vehicle had sheared off a fire hydrant. The suspect vehicle was a white Honda.
July 20, 2021
Vehicle Theft – 8:22 a.m. – 5300 block of Nelson – Between 8 p.m. on Monday and 8:20 a.m. on this date, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s white 2003 Chevrolet truck which also contained $10K worth of tools.
Grand Theft – 2:24 p.m. – 6300 block of Casa Verde – While the victim was on vacation from 7/11-7/17, a theft from the safe in her home of $15,000 occurred. The house does not appear to have been burglarized, so this may have involved a suspect who is familiar with the victim.
July 21, 2021
Pedestrian Check – 10:28 a.m. – Lincoln/Bloomfield –Robbery – 4:53 p.. – 11600 block of Cozumel Ave. – When the victim confronted three suspects who were in the act of stealing the catalytic converter from his vehicle, one of the suspects produced a handgun and threatened him. The three suspects got into a red Mustang and fled northbound on Valley View. The suspects were described as Hispanic males 30-40 years of age and the firearm was described as a black, “Glock” style weapon.

Vehicle Theft – 8:52 a.m. – 6000 block of James Alan – The victim stated that sometime between
5p.m. and 9 p.m. on 7/4/21, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s camper trailer, a black and white Hideout trailer.
Arrest – 9:25 a.m. – 4800 block of Larwin – Detectives arrested a male subject for possession of child pornography.
July 23, 2021
Suspicious Subject – 6:15 a.m. – 4900 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a suspicious person call for service, Officers arrested a male subject for an outstanding warrant and possession of methamphetamine. The subject’s vehicle was stored and he was cited and released from the station.
Traffic Stop – 7:20 p.m. – Walker/Orange – From a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the location, Officers arrested a subject for an outstanding warrant and possession of a controlled substance. A second subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
July 24, 2021
Robbery – 12:30 p.m. – 6900 block of Katella Ave. – A transient stole $10 from the tip jar and struggled with the owner of the business as he tried to flee the business. When two customers tried to intervene and detain him, he hit one of them on the head with a plastic soda bottle. Officers detained the subject as he tried to hide inside a business across the street in Stanton. The $10 was recovered and returned to the owner. The subject was transported to OCJ for robbery, two narcotics related warrants and possession of a meth pipe.
Suspicious Occupied Vehicle – 10:12 p.m. – 8800 block of Watson St. – From a suspicious occupied vehicle check, Officers arrested a female subject for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
July 25, 2021
Arrest – 3:22 a.m. – Jonathan/Knott – While traveling southbound on Knott Ave., an officer observed a male subject spray painting graffiti on the east facing wall on Knott south of Jonathan. The officer detained the suspect in a vehicle occupied by two other subjects on Jonathan west of Knott. A male subject was arrested for felony vandalism, possession of graffiti instruments, possession of nitrous oxide, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Arrest – 11:52 a.m. – 6100 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and a warrant with multiple weapons charges.
Domestic Violence – 1:56 p.m. – 9100 block of Walker St. – From a call of a domestic violence and displaying a firearm, a male subject was arrested for a felony no bail warrant, narcotic sales, felon in possession of a stolen firearm, live ammo, and a stun gun. The subject had gotten into a dispute with his girlfriend and fled on his skateboard as officers arrived. Police later located the subject at Evergreen Park, where he fled again; after the subject jumped through several backyards in the area, he was taken into custody without incident.
