July 26, 2021

Suspicious Vehicle – 2:23 p.m. – 11100 block of Knott – While Officers worked to catch up to a suspicious vehicle, the driver parked in the industrial complex and fled from the vehicle. While Officers were investigating the vehicle and why the driver fled, they was able to identify the driver, who has numerous warrants issued for his arrest. Officers were unable to locate him, but he has previous contacts in Cypress. The vehicle was private party impounded and police booked his wallet and cell phone.
Arrest – 7:26 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – From a call for service regarding a chronic shoplifter in the store, Officers arrested a male subject for shoplifting and a warrant. The subject attempted to exit the store past Officers with a shopping cart full of items.

July 27, 2021

Graffiti – 9:04 a.m. – 9700 block of Holder – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect painted “UNA13, TV5, Anaheim, 8333” in yellow paint on the walls, the roadway and on trash cans. The damage was estimated at $500.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 9:28 a.m. – 9700 block of Graham – While working parking
enforcement, a stolen U-Haul truck was located. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of

July 28, 2021

Theft – 6:91 a.m. – 11000 block of Knott – Sometime overnight an unknown suspect cut the lock off the storage cage for the propane tanks and stole 12 tanks of propane.

July 29, 2021

Area Check – 1:30 a.m. – 4000 block of Berwick – Officers were dispatched to the area regarding a subject checking door handles to vehicles. The subject was identified and was arrested and cited.
Vehicle Burglary – 9:22 a.m. – 6200 block of Orangewood Ave.- Between 8 p.m. on Wednesday and time of call, an unknown suspect got into the victim’s vehicle via a rear window smash and ransacked the interior. There was no loss.
Battery – 9:44 a.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – During an argument, a male subject pushed and punched the victim, then smashed his glasses. The subject was contacted and, after a positive infield show-up, was arrested for the assault.

July 30, 2021

Traffic Stop – 8:58 p.m. – Lincoln/Holder – From a traffic stop, a female subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and providing a false name. A male subject was arrested for two outstanding warrants.
2121 hours – Katella Avenue & Meridian Drive – Arrest – From a bicycle stop, Kevin Yip
(DOB 02-10-83) was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Pedestrian Check – 11:17 p.m. – 6200 block of Lincoln Ave. – Police conducted a pedestrian check in the area. The male subject fled on foot from officers and a short foot pursuit ensued. Police caught the subject in the 6200 block of Lincoln Avenue and the subject was detained without any further incident. The subject was placed under arrest for a no-bail PRCS violation warrant, possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and providing a false name.

July 31, 2021

Vehicle Vandalism – 10:42 a.m. – 6200 block of Orangewood Ave. – Unknown suspects slashed the cloth top on the victim’s convertible Mustang. This occurred last Wednesday evening.
Assist Outside Agency – 12:25 p.m. – 3400 block of Katella Ave. – Officers assisted Los Alamitos Police with a search of a stolen vehicle suspect who fled from them. They located the suspect inside a dumpster enclosure at the listed location and detained him without incident.

August 1, 2021

Pedestrian Check – 3:14 a.m. – 6100 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a pedestrian check in the parking lot, a female subject was arrested for two outstanding warrants. Police made contact with a male subject and arrested him for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Vehicle Burglary – 4:10 p.m. – 9000 block of Bloomfield Ave. – Sometime overnight, unknown suspect/s smashed the rear passenger window on the victim’s Scion. Loss was $60 Lyft camera.
Investigation/Arrest – 3:43 p.m. – Beach/Orange – A Patrol officer assisted detectives with a car stop on a male subject and a female subject. Both are suspects in an ongoing child abuse investigation. The male subject was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and a number of other serious charges related to the child abuse investigation. The female subject was arrested for child endangerment.
