July 22, 2021
Animal Call – 5:33 p.m. – Undisclosed location – The reporting party reported a lost 6-week-old male terrier/Shih-tzu puppy. The reporting party came home from work and discovered the puppy gone.
Welfare Check – 10:40 p.m. – Edison Right-of-Way/Walker – A subject was reportedly laying in the grass with a sleeping bag in the Edison Right-of-Way near Miller. Party advised and will comply.

Disturbance (Subject) – 6:41 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (La Palma Recreation Center) – A male subject was reportedly giving chicken bones to park-goers’ dogs and speaking unintelligibly. Police were unable to locate the subject.

Traffic Stop – 2:15 p.m. – Nearfield/Marview – Police performed a traffic stop for a stop sign violation on a vehicle that did not initially yield. After the vehicle stopped, the driver was cited and a DMV retest was issued.
Petty Theft Report – 2:53 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Property was reportedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight. The loss included documents, cords, a key, a tablet valued at $200-$500, sunglasses, a dog car seat, and a jewelry charm. Report taken.
July 25, 2021
Disturbance (Subject) – 5:48 p.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – A discharged patient was reportedly refusing to leave the area. The subject threw trash cans and broke a sprinkler. The subject was advised regarding trespassing.
Disturbance (Subject) – 7:19 p.m. – 5300 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject returned to the area and was now taking down flags. The subject was also looking into the resident’s windows. The subject refused to leave the property after three warnings and was subsequently arrested for trespassing and transported to Orange County Jail.
July 26, 2021
Person Down – 4:53 p.m. – La Palma/Walker – Police contacted a subject who was laying on the ground. A 42-year-old Los Angeles resident was arrested on a felony parole violation.
Counseling – 7:58 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller was concerned about the restaurant having tents blocking the alley. Police made contact, and employees would clear the tents from the alley.
July 27, 2021
Counseling – 7:33 a.m. – 5000 block of Malaga Dr. – The reporting party requested counseling regarding issues with an Offerup purchase and the seller making threats. Police were unable to make contact with the reporting party.
Disturbance (Music) – 10:08 p.m. – 8000 block of Woodglen Cir. – Police received multiple calls repeatedly requesting that the music be turned down at the location. A first response was issued and the homeowners advised that a mariachi band would be at the residence until 11 p.m. Multiple calls were received by police again regarding the music. The homeowners were advised that the calls were logged and would be taken into account if the residents were billed for the response. The party finished shortly after 11 p.m.
July 28, 2021
Welfare Check – 11:15 a.m. – 5500 block of Fir Cir. – Police performed a welfare check on a resident who had made multiple phone calls to 911. Police made contact and determined that the subject was upset over the Olympics. The subject was advised not to use 911 unless it was an emergency.
Vandalism Report – 11:44 a.m. – 5500 block of La Palma Ave. – A skimming device was reportedly located on a drive-up ATM. There was no loss at this time and no damage. Report taken.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon – 7:52 p.m. – 8400 block of El Pescador Ln. – The caller reported a family fight with one subject having a bat in his hands and chasing people. Police spoke to all parties and determined that there was no crime and no restraining order violation.
