Background Information
The mission of the program is to help Small Business owners realize their dreams. The program focuses on growth through procurement opportunities, which equates to economic mobility. The OneLA Inclusive Procurement program creates a pathway to contracting opportunities for local, small and diverse businesses. It provides mentorship, training and relationship-building opportunities through a regional partnership to advance a more equitable, sustainable and resilient economic recovery. In summary, A Thriving California for All!

One of the most powerful and overlooked economic development tools at our collective disposal is the multi-billion-dollar annual procurement spend of our public institutions. When joined by the region’s top private sector employers and the power of major sports and entertainment events coming to California over the next 10 years, the region’s accumulative buying power easily surpasses $30 billion annually. Small businesses need access to these contracting opportunities. In a state where 90% of the businesses are considered small (under 50 employees) and 1 in 2 employees work for a small business, the OneLA Inclusive Procurement Program seeks to vastly improve access to contracts for underrepresented small businesses and provide business owners the best of mentorship, training and relationship building for growth and economic mobility.
