August 5, 2021

Trespassing – 10:20 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject was seen shoplifting today and the day prior, and the reporting party requested assistance identifying the subject and advising him regarding trespassing. Prosecution was desired. The 56-year-old subject was arrested for shoplifting but due to medical conditions the subject was cited int he field and advised regarding trespassing.
Foot Patrol – 10:23 p.m. – Walker/Coyote Creek – Police contacted a subject while out at the Walker Street bridge. A 27-year-old subject was arrested for a bench warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge and felony parole violation.

August 6, 2021

Incident Report – 10:42 a.m. – 7800 block of Jennifer Cir. – The reporting party stated that a flower delivery service website had her address listed and a subject actually showed up to her door wanting to order flowers. The reporting party had not experienced identity theft as of the time of call. Police contacted the flower company in question and they advised that it must have been a web error listing the address on Google. Police advised the company to attempt to remove the address and the reporting party had previously done the same.
Medical Aid – 11:49 p.m. – 8100 block of Dawn Cir. – The reporting party advised that a male subject was bleeding heavily from his head. OCFA responded. The subject was conscious and breathing and was subsequently transported to the hospital by ambulance.

August 7, 2021

Flag Down – 7:43 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (La Palma Recreation Center) – Police were flagged down regarding a possible missing subject. An elderly female subject was looking for her husband. The subject was located.
Traffic Collision – 8:45 p.m. – 8300 block of Suffield St. – A possible DUI driver hit a parked vehicle. The subject was a female driving a black SUV. Police conducted field sobriety tests and arrested a 48-year-old female subject for DUI. The subject was released on citation.

August 8, 2021

Counseling – 10:43 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller requested counseling regarding a roommate who had been gone since the afternoon and had not returned. There was no record that the subject was at Orange County Jail or Los Angeles County Jail. The reporting party did not want to file a missing persons report at this time. Counseled.
Patrol Check – 4:34 a.m. – Crescent/Walker (Cypress) – The signals at Crescent/Walker and Crescent/Watson were completely out. Cypress Police Department advised the reason for the outage was unknown and most of Cypress was out. Power was out south of La Luna. Southern California Edison was aware of the outage but the reason for the outage was unknown. Stop signs were placed at Walker/Crescent.

August 9, 2021

Vehicle Check – 9:34 a.m. – Walker/Fresca – During a vehicle check, police conducted a search of the vehicle and subsequently arrested a 44-year-old male subject for possession of unlawful paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. The vehicle was towed from the location and stored.
Disturbance (Subject) – 10:00 a.m. – 6500 block of Valley View St. – A security guard reported that a subject applying for a job was creating a disturbance and refusing to leave the location. Police contacted the subject and advised him regarding trespassing.
Counseling – 9:54 p.m. – 7900 block of Carolyn Cir. – The reporting party requested counseling regarding the RP’s daughter being manipulated by her mother. The RP was counseled on child custody issues. There was no order on file and the subjects had not been to court.

August 10, 2021

Disturbance (Family) – 7:45 a.m. – 8500 block of Via Tina – The reporting party stated that his wife slammed a door into his face and he was bleeding. Police contacted both parties. Medics were declined. Incident report taken.
Disturbance (Family) – 8:50 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The reporting party’s son was bullying and attempting to assault the reporting party. The son was twelve years old, and the reporting party stated that the son may run from officers. Police made contact. The subject was counseled and the mother provided resources for youth shelters.

August 11, 2021

Keep the Peace – 2:27 p.m. – 7000 block of Walker St. – The reporting party requested assistance with keeping the peace. The reporting party needed to inspect a resident’s apartment and was unable to do so the previous year due to COVID-19.
Disturbance (Subject) – 11:12 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A transient was reportedly hitting the wall outside the business and raising his voice to the clerk. Party advised and will comply.
