August 16, 2021

Domestic Violence – 10:26 a.m. – 9000 block of Walker St. – From a call of two people arguing, a female subject was arrested for domestic battery after determining she was the primary aggressor in an incident that occurred the previous evening.
Grand Theft – 9:01 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – An unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2007 Honda Accord. Surveillance video revealed at approximately 1911 hours, a black GMC or Chevy SUV, parked next to the victim’s Honda. Two males exited the SUV and approached the Honda. A few minutes later the SUV drove away eastbound through the parking lot.

August 17, 2021

Disturbance (Subject) – 1:49 a.m. – 6200 block of Lincoln Ave. – Officers were dispatched regarding a subject causing a disturbance. A male subject was subsequently arrested for warrants.
Petty Theft – 7:32 p.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave. – Two male subjects entered the location. One of them distracted the employee, while the other entered the backroom and took the employee’s purse.

August 18, 2021

Traffic Collision – 2:50 a.m. – Katella east of Lexington – Officers responded to a traffic collision heard in the area. When officers arrived, it was found to be a solo vehicle collision. After conducting an investigation, a male subject was arrested for DUI over .08 BAC.
Catalytic Converter Theft – 4:41 p.m. – 4600 block of Amalfi – At approximately 2:48 a.m. today, an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2003 Honda.
Catalytic Converter Theft – 5:16 p.m. – 11600 block of Luzon – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 1997 Jeep.

August 19, 2021

Vehicle burglary – 4:04 a.m. – 9000 block of Primavera – An unknown suspect smashed the passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle and stole miscellaneous property. The suspect was described as a white male, wearing a black sweatshirt and khaki shorts. He was last seen leaving on a bicycle towards Lincoln.
Vehicle Burglary – 5:25 a.m. – Lincoln/Hoffman – A vehicle was burglarized in the 6100 block of Lincoln Ave. The loss was a backpack, laptop, and Apple Watch. The victim tracked his watch and review of video surveillance several hours later revealed the suspect to be a male Hispanic wearing a black T-shirt, khaki pants, White Sox hat, and riding an orange mountain bike. He was unable to be identified or located.
Vehicle Burglary – 7:09 a.m. – Lincoln/Jacaranda – While on patrol, an officer located a likely window smash vehicle burglary. The registered owner was unable to be contacted and a note was left.
Traffic Collision – 9:22 a.m. – Cerritos/Valley View – Officers responded to a non-injury collision. While investigating that collision, a second collision occurred among vehicles that backed up in the traffic. While investigating that collision, a third collision happened among other vehicles that were backed up in the traffic.

August 20, 2021

Grand Theft – 7:39 a.m. – 9000 block of Brownstone – Sometime overnight, unknown suspect/s stole a generator out of the victim’s truck bed.
Assist Outside Agency – 2:17 p.m. – 7500 block of Jackson Wy. (Buena Park) – Cypress Police Officers were dispatched to the location to assist with crowd control and perimeter on an assault with a deadly weapon (handgun) investigation. Units assisted with no issues.
Theft – 7:26 p.m. – 5500 block of Ball Rd. – From a theft in progress, a female subject was arrested for shoplifting, resisting arrest, providing a false name, and possession of fentanyl.
Domestic Violence – 7:30 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – A female subject was arrested for felony domestic violence after she got into a physical altercation with her boyfriend causing visible injuries.

August 21, 2021

Traffic Stop – 12:35 a.m. – Knott/Lincoln – From a traffic stop, a subject was arrested for a no bail parole violation, identity theft, and providing a false name. A second subject was arrested for outstanding warrants totaling $450,000, providing a false name, and identity theft. A third subject was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant. The vehicle the above subjects were driving was found to be purchased using false identification.
Assist Outside Agency – 4:28 p.m. – Salisbury/Hanover – Anaheim Police were in pursuit of a stolen vehicle in our city. Cypress units never entered the pursuit. The vehicle drove westbound on Ball and entered the residential tract, where it began to get lost in various cul-de-sacs. When the suspect pulled into a driveway and appeared to stop, an officer parked his vehicle and exited in preparation to chase the driver on foot. The driver then backed out of the driveway and sideswiped the officer’s vehicle, before ramming an Anaheim Police Department vehicle in an attempt to flee again. The suspect then fled on foot and was caught after a short foot chase. The suspect was arrested for multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon on officers. As a result of the damage done by the suspect’s vehicle, the police vehicle needed to be towed. No officers were injured and there were only minor injuries to the suspect driver and her passenger. Anaheim PD handled the arrest while Cypress Police completed an agency assist report and vehicle damage report.

August 22, 2021

Petty Theft – 8:21 a.m. – 10100 block of Hialeah Dr. – Occurred overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and stole approximately $750.00 worth of personal property.
Petty Theft – 10:13 a.m. – 4400 block of Nestle Ave. – Occurred overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole personal property.
Petty Theft – 10:54 a.m. – 4400 block of Nestle Ave. – Occurred overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole approximately $20.00 cash.
Petty Theft – 1:16 p.m. – 11600 block of Luzon St. – Occurred overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole approximately $50.00 cash.
Petty Theft – 2:12 p.m. – 11600 block of Luzon St. – Occurred overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole approximately $20.00 cash and various electronics.
Grand Theft – 2:27 p.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – Between 11:00 a.m. and 2:27 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole approximately $3,000.00 cash, various electronics, and other personal property.
Arrest – 9:51 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – A witness using the ATM observed a male subject smash the front window with a skateboard and take property from the business. An area check was conducted and the subject was located at Knott and Syracuse with the stolen merchandise that had tags attached. The male subject was arrested for commercial burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
