August 26, 2021
Grand Theft Report – 8:08 a.m. – 4900 block of Partridge Cir. – The caller reported the possible theft of a desktop computer with two monitors. The caller purchased the computer and had it delivered to an ex-boyfriend’s residence. There were ongoing issues with the ex-boyfriend. The reporting party then stated that the computer setup was purchased more than two months ago from Best Buy and confirmed that the computer was delivered and was now missing.
Area Check – 7:17 p.m. – 5100 block of Andrew Dr. – The caller reported a juvenile going door-to-door selling coupon books. The reporting party believed that she was scammed and wanted an area check for the juvenile.
August 27, 2021
Disturbance (Subject) – 5:17 p.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject inside the store was reportedly harassing customers and opening products. Police contacted the subject in front of another business and advised him regarding trespassing from the store of the reporting party.
Disturbance (Subject) – 11:02 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A subject was reportedly refusing to leave the business. He had no weapons but told customers he had a gun. The subject had been drinking alcohol. Police located the subject and no firearm was found after a vehicle search. The subject was advised regarding trespassing.
August 28, 2021
Abandoned Vehicle – 6:58 p.m. – 4900 block of Windsong Ave. – A vehicle had been parked in front of the neighbor’s residence for the past few days. It was determined that the vehicle was legally parked, and it was marked for 72 hours.
Bike Stop – 9:21 p.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – During a bike stop, police conducted a search and subsequently arrested a 53-year-old male subject for possession of unlawful paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession or use of tear gas or a tear gas weapon. The subject was later released on citation.
August 29, 2021
Pedestrian Check – 7:18 a.m. – Fresca/Marlin – During a pedestrian check, police conducted a search and subsequently arrested a 47-year-old male subject for possession of unlawful paraphernalia. The subject was later released on citation.
Area Check – 11:10 a.m. – 7400 block of Rampart Ln. – A subject reportedly parked in the driveway and asked the reporting party over Ring camera if the house was for sale. Police were unable to locate the subject.
Petty Theft – 9:55 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A male subject reportedly took three cases of 24-pack Monster energy drinks. Report taken.
August 30, 2021
Transient – 7:38 a.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – A subject was possibly sleeping under blankets at the baseball field under the bleachers. Police contacted the subject, who refused services.
Incident Report – 1:52 p.m. – Centerpointe – A male subject was reportedly punching a female subject in the parking lot. No witnesses were found in the area. Incident report taken.
August 31, 2021
Medical Aid – 9:31 a.m. – 5100 block of Huntswood Cir. – The reporting party was calling for a neighbor possibly having a stroke. OCFA responded and the subject was transported to the hospital.
Assault/Battery Report – 12:47 p.m. – Del Amo/Coyote Creek (Cerritos) – On the east side of the bridge, there was reportedly a disturbance between two transients, with one transient hitting the other with a golf club. Incident handled by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Vandalism – 3:50 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – Graffiti was reportedly in progress at the location. A subject in a red jacket was a possible lookout while a subject in all black possibly had a can of spray paint. After a positive identification, a juvenile was arrested for vandalism.
September 1, 2021
Police Information – 9:13 a.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – The reporting party’s daughter, who suffers from mental illness, reportedly took the RP’s vehicle and drove to the bank. The RP located her vehicle but was unable to locate her daughter. Police were unable to locate the subject on an area check.
Pedestrian Check – 8:46 p.m. – Walker/La Palma – Police contacted a pedestrian who had been contacted earlier regarding a petty theft from a business. The subject was arrested for a bench warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge and released to a family member on citation.
