The Bruins put the first points on the scoreboard, two touchdowns and points-after in the first quarter. Stanford did not score in that period, but did earn a touchdown and point after in the second quarter. However, that was answered by another touchdown and point after by UCLA. The score at halftime was 21-7.
Stanford scored 7 more points in the third quarter, with nothing from UCLA.
Stanford struck again quickly, tying the score at 21-21 at the beginning of the fourth quarter. But UCLA answered with two more touchdowns and points-after while Stanford was able only to score a field goal.
UCLA’s next game will be at home against Arizona State at the Rose Bowl.
