September 27, 2021

Suspicious Subject – 12:12 a.m. – 8500 block of Sumner – The victim called and reported a male subject was on his property checking doors to his residence. A separate victim reported the same male subject opened her garage door and attempted to gain entry. The subject was confronted by the reporting party and fled southbound on Sumner in a Honda Accord. Officer located the vehicle in the area of Sumner and Merten and a high risk vehicle stop was conducted. A male subject was arrested for attempted burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trespassing.
Forgery Investigation – 9:45 a.m. – 5900 block of Corporate – A male subject was arrested for forgery. The subject was the unofficial caretaker of the elderly female victim. The subject forged and cashed numerous checks ($42,000 worth) from the victim after she passed away in June of this year.
Shoplifting – 10:53 a.m. – 5400 block of Katella Ave. – Two male subjects entered the business and attempted to steal a security system valued at $400. When confronted by security, the suspects dropped the property and fled in a gray Chevy. The suspects were gone upon the arrival of police.

September 28, 2021

Sexual Assault Investigation – 11:09 a.m. – 8800 block of Moody St. – Officers responded to investigate the listed crime which occurred on 08-31-21, at the suspect’s residence. The juvenile victim identified the suspect. The victim alleged being sexually assaulted two times prior in the City of La Puente and Upland by the same suspect, which she did not report.
Theft – 6:26 p.m. – 5400 block of Katella Ave. – An employee attempted to stop a subject for theft.
When confronted, the subject pushed the employee and entered a gold Volvo as a passenger and the vehicle fled westbound on Katella. A Los Alamitos Police Sergeant located and stopped the vehicle on Lexington north of Katella, and a felony vehicle stop was conducted. A male subject was arrested for robbery, and a second male subject was arrested for warrants. The stolen property was recovered and returned.

September 29, 2021

Vehicle Burglary – 7:59 a.m. – 9900 block of Holder St. – Between 2:00 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., an
unknown suspect smashed the driver side rear window of the vehicle and stole the victim’s backpack from inside.
Identity Theft – 6:00 p.m. – 5500 block of Belle – An unknown suspect used the victim’s personal information to open a wireless account with Verizon and purchase an iPhone 12.

September 30, 2021

Grand Theft – 3:28 a.m. – 5200 block of Lincoln Ave. – An unknown suspect bent the rear gate in the north parking lot and stole three electric bikes.
Vandalism – 12:27 p.m. – 6200 block of Ferne – The victim’s two vehicles were damaged from large rocks placed on them overnight, with an estimated damage of $2,400.00.
Residential Burglary – 5:39 p.m. – 11600 block of Malden St. – Between 7 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., an
unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence through an unlocked rear door. The loss included a laptop computer, tablet, and passport.

October 1, 2021

Vehicle Burglary – 4:54 a.m. – 6100 block of James Alan – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect gained entry into the victim’s vehicle via window smash and stole cash and a dialysis bag.
Vandalism – 9:46 a.m. – 6100 block of Katella Ave. – Between 09/30/21 at 4 p.m. and 8 a.m., an unknown suspect drilled holes in the work truck cabinets. The estimated damage is approximately $760.

October 2, 2021

Grand Theft – 12:47 p.m. – 4400 block of Lincoln Ave. – The victim’s purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle. The purse and contents are valued at approximately $5000. No suspect information.
Residential Burglary – 7:18 p.m. – 5000 block of Myra Ave. – Between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence through an unlocked rear slider while the victim was sleeping. The loss was a purse containing jewelry and other miscellaneous property. The purse was recovered in the rear yard.

October 3, 2021

Theft – 10:14 a.m. – 4000 block of Ball Rd. – The suspect grabbed the coin dispenser from the cash register and fled in an older white Nissan Altima. The suspect stole $92 worth of coins.
Vehicle Burglary – 12:42 p.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St.– Sometime between 11:30 a.m. and the time of call, an unknown suspect got into the victim’s vehicle via a window smash and stole the victim’s purse containing her wallet and cell phone.
Grand Theft – 1:07 p.m. – 9500 block of Palermo Wy. – During the victim’s move, someone stole a firearm and miscellaneous items such as video games
Drunk – 1:09 p.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – While the police officer was conducting her burglary investigation, she encountered a subject who was intoxicated and in need of assistance.
